Vida Gardens — Restaurant in Houston

HEADS UP to anyone considering going here. This place has the rudest bartenders I ever experienced in life! They have literally become into robots! I am not kidding at all, they do not give you the chance to talk or fully complete a sentence before walking off while you’re mid sentence in. Hi Vida Garden management, please do better with training your bartenders to being a little more professional. These were the bartender girls who worked at the bar station closest to the lawn side near the other club entrance, both had black hair and treated me and my girlfriends rudely and only attended to the men on Halloween night! Do better! The girl walked off as I was asking about the double shot cups and didn’t answer my question I asked her why is she walking away when I am a paying customer and she said “sorry I will not be serving you” and very evil smiled and walked off, thank god I did not BUY nor take any of her drinks being made with her negative vibes, she was rude and unprofessionally maybe because they automatically are granted a tip for their bills so they think they can treat people poorly but I will never again spend a penny of mine here and I will never recommend this midtown club to anyone ever again. My first time to Vida garden was great! I came to watch Colombia vs. Uruguay a few weeks ago. Upon arrival I pulled into their lot and the man wanted $45 for parking. I decided to leave since there was plenty of street parking left! He then yells at me and says that they’re going to give me a ticket for parking on the street. I told him to bet $100 that I won’t lmao. He couldn’t put his money where his mouth was. Scamming culture is so prevalent here in Houston. I believe everyone will have one bad parking experience to know when to PAY TO PARK on the meter and which lot to invest in. Regardless, I had a great time coming in. The vibes where there, I expected it to be packed but it was tolerable!

I came back to watch copa America final and it was a complete mess. I think they under estimated the support of the teams here in Houston. They definitely were understaffed and very unorganized. I know Vida Garden is a new establishment- there’s alot to improve here!

I’m sure we were surpassed max capacity at 4pm when the game started at 7pm. It took two hours for the food to come and when addressing it to a passing bottle girl she had no real answer for us. Overall I didn’t have high expectations for customer service due to how crazy and busy it was but I will say the restrooms were always stocked and clean for how many people that use it! First time visiting this place, a friend of mine had reserved a section. They didn’t honor the reservation, which I wasn't upset about. What really upset me was the rude staff. I tried ordering food multiple times from different staff members, only to be told that the kitchen was closed. That would have been understandable, except they were taking everyone else’s order except mine.

What made matters worse was that a guy in the same section I was sitting in got his food order taken by a waitress, even after she had told me the kitchen was closed. I explained to her that it seemed unfair he could order but I couldn't. She gave me a look and said, "I don't have my handheld computer to charge you. I’ll be right back." She never came back.

I went to the bar and explained to the bartender what had happened. He said I couldn’t place a food order because the kitchen was closed and that the person who had ordered had been waiting a while. I told him that wasn’t true because they had ordered ten minutes ago. I also pointed out other waitstaff carrying food orders around. He responded rudely saying "I said, the kitchen is close."

Saying the kitchen is closed but then serving others when I went out of my way to asked multiple times politely if could place a food order but denying me is just horrible selective...
