This is coming from a sober person so take this all with a grain of salt. Pros: - beautiful women everywhere, I mean the workers and the ones attending. - the music was good a lot of spanish bangers the day we went (although it kept being disrupted by sexy red) - they are tattoo friendly and do not make you feel like an outcast for being heavily tattooed - there is a dress code which i like because it keeps the super thug max type out or they have to learn how to get some style - bathroom was nice and they had a service guy in there who was really respectable - staff was nice, not overly friendly but respectful Cons: - for someone that hates bottle service, hookah and everyone just sitting at tables/sections you might not like this (im not a big fan of it either as it just ends up being who can look the coolest in their section) and for guys it makes it harder to approach any single ladies. - there is a dance floor but honestly we didnt get to see much of it or experience it due to the Sunday we went on there was no one on it or there so we were stuck standing around other people in sections. (Not totally a con) - my friend said he paid 20$ for his drink which was in a pretty small cup and I thought that was hilarious. - 20$ paid parking - they do need to enforce some of the guys needing to dress a bit more presentable is my only complaint as they did have a lot of the generic (im from Houston) type of dudes lurking in packs of 10+ lol while the the women were all dressed nice. - please stop interrupting the spanish music to play the hood ratchet music (this is coming from someone that is "black") i came to medillin to her spanish music 😭 Overall: This is a good gem that I hope preserves and stays true to its Latin roots and doesnt try to follow the crap that all these other ratchet clubs/bars start doing. I love the vibe, love the atmosphere, I dont drink but they were really sweet about it as well. 9/10 rating because I dont like sections. Thank you Medillin.

I had already been inside both Vida Garden and Medellin, which are clearly connected and reportedly owned by the same group. I attempted to move between the two bars—something I had done before without issue. However, this time, I was stopped by a male and female security guard who suddenly demanded a $30 cover charge. What stood out immediately was that I was the only white person in the area at the time—and none of the other patrons were being charged anything to go between the bars. When I asked why I was being singled out, the guards claimed, “they work here,” referring to the other guests. That was a blatant lie—I observed those people inside, drinking and dancing, clearly not employees. To confirm my suspicions, I left Medellin, walked around to Vida, and asked the staff directly if there was any cover charge for these bars. They clearly told me, “No, we don’t charge cover.” I then returned through Vida and confronted the same security guards. I told them they were scamming me and that I would be reporting their behavior, because in my view, they racially profiled and targeted me for being white. Their actions were not only unethical—they may have been illegal. This kind of behavior violates basic principles of fairness and equal treatment. I am now in the process of preparing a formal complaint to: •The Texas Attorney General’s Office for deceptive trade practices, •The U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division for potential racial discrimination under the Civil Rights Act, and •City of Houston authorities for possible business misconduct. Discrimination, dishonesty, and racial targeting have no place in our city’s nightlife or anywhere else. If you’re considering visiting these bars, I strongly advise you to think twice. Below is the photo of the entrance of where they were working. Around 11:10pm Friday.

Manager was terrible. Asian girl. She does not know how to run a business. She does not understand the fundamentals of the “hospitality” once the hype goes away you have to understand customer service is what keeps people coming back. I have been here 4 times and I will NEVER come back and I will tell everyone I know not to either. Might not make the biggest impact but I hope this review hurts them also. Have to put people over $ margins at times. That’s how businesses have been around for over 100+ years. This will be another “I used to go here club” in 5 years. Sad they had potential but terrible management and bottle girls will ruin it.

2nd time coming here and the waitress never came to check on our table after we bought a bottle and they forgot to disclose that each bottle "only comes with 6 Mixers no matter the size of the party attending". The waitress only came back to try moving us since we were not buying additional bottles which is wild because no other bar that we have been to has you do that.

The manager was rude and dramatic. She called the security team when we were already calm and just trying to ask for more Mixers so we can finish the bottle we had bought. She said "additional Mixers would have to be charged". Like okay?? You want to try forcing another bottle for us to buy but yall cant just bring more mixers for our friends to finish drinking the current bottle we have???? Mind you they had only brought 4 at the beginning, not sure how their logic managed to think 4 mini Mixers would cater to 7 people.

After I said money was no issue and that we just wanted additional mixers the manager said she would bring us more but never came back. Additionally the waitress came back to us to try moving us again and I told her we were still waiting on her manager to bring more mixers and she admitted that her manager said to just charge us what we asked for and never brought them.

Vibe and music are great but service was terrible. Just be careful with what they choose to charge you, they need...
