It all start with the need to find a replacement button for a special outfit. Once I walked into the store I was hooked. There is just something about the atmosphere. It is welcoming and helpful and a creative buzz kind of hovers around. They are friendly without being intrusive. They allow you space to look around, encourage questions and actually offer intelligent well thought out answers and suggestions. I do not knit, weave or crochet, but have learned a variety of other arts & crafts from the store owners and artist they bring in to teach. I have taken classes in Kumihimo, felting -- both dry and nuno, silk fabric painting, and a variety of beading classes for jewelry making including the use of felt balls. I am thoroughly enjoying my retirement made all the more special by my new hobbies. In addition to classes they also carry product to support these new arts & crafts. Who knows, maybe one day I'll also take up knitting. If I do, I will take classes from Fiber Art and buy my supplies there as well. Stop by and visit- it is great to support a locally owned neighborhood business that also supports and showcases other local artist. Oh, by the way, I also found that...

Their needle inventory has never failed me when I start a new project and discover a need. They are great with yarn and pattern recommendations, and the new yarns this store brings in on a regular basis is enough to make my heart go pitter patter.
Yes, they charge a whole dollar to wind the sale skeins, but it was never put to me in a rude manner. If I'm getting 40-75% off, I think it's fair.
I joined a project KAL at the store for a month, and whenever customers come in the store during that time, I have never witnessed any rudeness to them. And each time, it was new customers that come in. You can tell, by the way they remark over the selection. And, it's a VERY pretty...

My wife loved the selection. I don't know of any other place in the Keystone area where you can get such a selection of hard to find yarn.
The clerk was very friendly and personable. Helped my wife find some cool yard. Way better than the Yarn Barn on Amazon!
