On December the 7th I came in and purchased a volume in a series of books and was talking to the cashier Melany. I made a comment about how I might own this volume but couldn’t remember if I do or don’t and that if I had it I would be back in the next couple of days to exchange it and she didn’t really say anything about it and so I paid for it and she said have a good day and I left. 3 days later I had planned on reading the books but went to my bookshelf to grab it and saw that I did in fact own another copy of the book I had just purchased. I take the receipt out of the book to grab the receipt so I can return it and it says that no returns or exchanges are allowed for new or used books. It’s extremely disappointing that I can’t exchange this book for the volume I actually need because clearly I don’t need it. I wasn’t asking for money back just a simple exchange for a brand new book I haven’t even read a page form but the lady on the phone said the best she could do is give me 50% store credit for the book even though it has all the original stickers on it and hasn’t even been opened other than than to grab the receipt. Wanted to support a local bookstore and was willing to pay double the books worth compared to half priced books and that was my mistake. I unfortunately won’t be back because not even being able to exchange the book is extremely disappointing and honestly ridiculous. I won’t ever recommend this bookstore to anyone I know due to the ridiculous exchange policy in combination with the prices of the book. I wish Melany would have told me I couldn’t exchange the book after buying it because it would have kept me from wasting my...
Read moreI hope people appreciate this gem. It is designed as cute but more substance than decor. They sell mostly used books with new current best sellers. You can trade in old books for credit/discount on your purchases of used books. you can return the used books you bought there for 50% store credit. It's a perfect neighborhood store. Genres are pretty diverse. You probably won't find a book on urban architecture but you will find Political biographies, 3 shelves of Tom Clancy, bookshelves of kids books, Sci fi fantasy , young adult, true crime, classics and so on. I think the only bookstore in the Issaquah Sammamish area. (truly a bookstore, obviously Target has a book section as well) Definitely worth stopping by once to check it out and decide if you ll be a regular. I know I will definitely try to shop there for my subway reading :) Truly a gold mine for little kids books and...
Read moreGreat to finally have a book store in Issaquah again! Excellent that this one is owned by a local neighbor.
Wide selection of used and new books. Went in looking for some specific books. The owner greeted us when we arrived and helped look for the books. They didn't have them in the store and special ordered the books.
Nice clean looking store, not dingey like other used book stores in the Seattle area.
The store has two entrences. The west entrance is friendly (the door facing Chase Bank). When you enter from the east, side towards Trader Joe's, you are greeted by their name sake...
