First time shopping here since I moved here in 2000. Cashier's were friendly and one recognized me as a local. She showed me to the department I wanted to be in, shoes. I told her I was just going to sift through them and try them on to find a pair I liked. She made a recommendation on a shoe she liked and went back upstairs. That was fine. Within about five minutes she was back to check on me. Told her I was still looking through them. So she went back upstairs. Then about 10 minutes later the other cashier comes down. Once again I said I was looking through all the shoes in the section that I in and trying them on, until I found one I liked. She then walked around downstairs for a little bit and then went back upstairs and told the original cashier what I said. I'm sure there on hidden cameras everywhere and I always assume I'm being watched whenever I'm in a public place, I felt more like I was a potential thief than a valued customer. Eventually I did find a pair of shoes I liked and did purchase them. I was probably only in there 30 minutes so the constant scrutiny was a little disconcerting. I don't know if this place has a lot of retail theft or what, but everyone who walks in the door shouldn't be treated as a potential thief immediately. I did appreciate the 30% off on my purchase and on the receipt that I can get 15% off per gallon of gas that I purchase within the next 30 days. I mean the staff are friendly enough, but to be honest with you I probably won't shop here again. I'd just look for shoes instead when I'm in St. George. The selection of New Balance shoes was pretty limited anyways. The prices were comparable to other places and with the discount you're paying about what you'd pay if you bought them online. I don't know if locals are suppose to receive a discount or not, if so I didn't. Hopefully I'm happy with my purchase now so I don't need to return or exchange anything. I started a new job and needed a better pair of shoes as a result, so I thought I'd give this place a try. Duke's made a sale but most likely lost a returning customer in the process. You got the tourist though, so probably doesn't much matter if I come back or not, Kanab is all about catering to tourists,...
Read moreWent there just a couple minutes ago. And two girls were working today 8:41pm Tuesday August 30th. And my cousin and brother was shopping with me and my boyfriend. And he was waiting for us to get done with what we needed. And when my cousin when up to buy his stuff me and my boyfriend walked away because I was showing him a shirt I liked. And after we all went out my cousin told us that one of the girls was telling the other one if she saw those two (me and my boyfriend) and the other one nodded and say yeah it looked like they didnât know what they were doing. Which was odd because all we did was use the wrong card on accident. And then she went on to say âmake sure they donât steal anythingâ even though me and him paid for our stuff. Like, even if I wanted to steal something I couldnât even fit anything in my small elephant bag smh. I was smiling and being nice to them, so I donât know why people have the need to talk behind peoples backs who never said or did...
Read moreJust arrived in Kenob and realized we needed water shoes to hike the narrows! Took a run into Dukes at 9:30 PM before they closed at 10 PM to see if they had anything that could work. To my surprise, the quite large, neat and orderly. There is a wide variety of outdoor activity items.
The employees were incredibly kind and helpful! One employee - bummed I didnât get her name- was even willing to help me with sizing of a family member who was not with me by trying on some shoes so that I could see how they fit đ - thank you so much for that!
During checkout, Rebecca was wonderful to have help me. Very knowledgeable about the area and answered all the questions that I had!
Shout out to the two wonderful employees that when most would be in a hurry to punch out and go home, weâre willing to treat me as though they were just beginning their shift and had all...
