This was an absolute treat in every single way.
The captain and his son were incredible host to us making sure we were comfortable and having a good time. We read some reviews where if the water is hot, then sharks donât show up as much. So naturally we were very on edge worried that we wouldnât get to see any sharks since it was incredibly hot outside. Captain got to the spot, dropped the food, and within 60 seconds there were dozens of beautiful lemon sharks in front of us. It was an unbelievable experience. The captain made sure to tell us information on the area and the sharks, as well as being very quick to answer any sort of questions asked. The way that the boat is laid out, makes it impossible to get a bad view. No matter where you stand you get amazing views of the sharks.
After we fed the sharks and got to experience that for a little while, Captain took us on a very enjoyable boat ride deeper into the ocean to search for dolphins in a particular area of the water. On the way to this area, we got to experience the ocean like we never have before. Some points we saw no land at all because of how far we were into the ocean. It was gorgeous.
Once getting to the dolphin area, sure enough, we came up on a family of dolphins in beautiful blue water. We followed the dolphins around as they came right up to us for photos and video. On the ride back into dock, we got to see some cool boat wrecks and also got to see the Navy Seals drive past in a bundle going out for training.
This tour was worth every single dime it cost and honestly, I think the experience we were able to receive should have cost us more. The captain and his son gave us an amazing time that absolutely everyone should get to enjoy firsthand. Wish I could rate higher than...
Read moreThe experience was not what the website says. The website says: "Experience eco tours ... for 2 hours of shark and wildlife viewing.  A scent is deployed to attract these apex predators right next to the boat. In these calm waters you will see a variety of wildlife, turtles, stingrays, birds and dolphins." What really happened: 30-minute boat ride out to a place where they anchored and then explained that they come to this area daily and that the sharks know them. Sharks began swarming the boat. Then they attached dead fish to a rope and teased the sharks with it for about 30 minutes, occasionally allowing sharks to rip off sections of the fish and often just lifting the fish back up so they couldn't get it. I'm a firm believer that nature should be viewed, not teased and tormented, so while my kids enjoyed the trip, it is not something I would have booked if they had accurately stated what the trip would be like. After the shark teasing, we then cruised around to look for dolphins for about 45 mins before returning. Unfortunately the dolphins were not out today, which is totally not their fault and I'm just really glad that they didn't tease them, too! I understand not everyone feels the way I do so if you think this is an appropriate way to treat wild animals, then this might be a good choice for you. They were a pleasant crew, happy to chat with everyone and share their years of experience with everyone. They provided cold bottled water, Capri...
Read moreThis is an amazing tour worth every penny. Captain Dave is a retired Dolphin trainer and so much more!! He is so knowledgeable about all the wildlife in the keys and tells wonderful stories about his experience with animals that not many people are educated about. Great for kids, family's, eco enthusiasts, and anyone who wants an unforgettable experience. We saw numerous sharks and dolphins. I cannot tell you how AMAZING this experience is!!! Captain Clay was also a fabulous driver and the best part is that they are family. I love supporting small family owned businesses. Clay gave us wonderful recommendations for food and activities on the island. They are an awesome family duo! These guys are the real deal! Also, if you're reading this review and you're cruising to key west, I worked for Carnival for two years and this is not offered as an excursion but probably one of the best adventures you could do on the island. Call ahead and reserve a spot! I'm telling you this activity is like the hidden treasure of Key West. You will not be disappointed. Also non alcoholic drinks...
