I had my makeup and hair done by Mengsi and her assistant Debbie for my pre-wedding/engagement photo shoot. Mengsi is very professional, friendly and communicative, I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a makeup artist who is detail oriented and truly listens.

-Prior to the appt: she reached out to me to discuss the style I'd like to go for so she could be fully prepared on the day of my appointment. -Day of appt: both Mengsi and her assistant wore masks. One thing worth noting is that she uses premium products/tools for both makeup and hair (think name brands like Dyson and NARS) and you can tell how much she enjoys what she does.

My engagement photos turn out great thanks to Mengsi- I almost made a mistake of doing my own makeup for the photo shoot, which would have been a disaster as professional cameras will easily wash out any makeup you put on. Definitely hire a professional makeup artist if you want good photos! Even the photographer was impressed by how good my hair looked. My makeup looked natural under different lighting and did not need any touch up throughout the engagement session. I was so reluctant o remove my makeup at the end of the night! Mengsi exceeded our expectations and provided the utmost professional and high quality service. She understands the different features of Asian faces and how to accentuate them. She only uses top of the line products. She manages her and our time well by getting set up, providing hair and makeup and getting packed up all within her quoted timeframe leaving me extra time to put myself in my dress. My mother is not an easy person to please so I was ecstatic when she could not stop saying how beautiful of a job Mengsi did for all of us. Mengsi applied eyelid fold tape in a way that looked natural and not botched like I have seen on myself in the past. Mengsi was amazing and so professional. She shared timelines beforehand, showed up on time, and made sure we stuck to the schedule.

She brought so many options for hair and makeup and used really high quality products.

She provided consultation and suggested a style that fit me based on my complexion, dress style, etc and it worked out great.

She was extremely flexible, offering to make any changes even though that wasn’t necessary and I was happy with all my hair and makeup!
