Normally I haunt the farmers markets on Sundays. But today I had to go to HARVEST FESTIVAL. Wanted to see some new and exciting vendors.. bought some MAN-RUB seasoning. Could not resist that. Got some Christmas decorations and a hot pot carrier...... As I am browsing,. Who do I see? The one and only LUChkoff PATISSERIE.. they are a mainstay of the local farmers markets. Always everywhere... The word is omnipresent... Now I had just loaded up on baked goods the day before at downtown Summerlin farmers market (DTS). But I did need some tiramisu. Dam. They were sold out... Dam. Too late to get to SANSONE mkt. I will have to wait until Wednesday mkt at Bruce trent park. Or I could just go to the bakery on flamingo. Nah. I will wait till Wednesday. So I tried to buy a lemon bar. That was sold out also. Dam. So I bought some Macaroons instead. What an elegant tapestry of yummy . I think the green cookie is best(pistachio).. but hey. You be the judge... They had the honey guy working today. The one that looks like NILES CRane. That guy could sell ice to a penguin... I was able to resist everything except the Macaroons..... Then I went to the bar cart. Lit it up. And then headed for El Cortez and their own bar cart. The one with the bratwurst. I had to get a little action on opening NFL Sunday... Hope that helps.... See ya on...
Read moreProbably some of the worst customer service I’ve ever received from a business. I tried contacting their events department for over two weeks just to get the rudest, unresponsive, and laziest “sales manager” kaela simeonoff that refuses to help us schedule or plan an event. We submitted multiple forums, sent multiple emails and called countless times. Apparently she’s the only event coordinator that they have and takes seven business days to respond with any information. Actually, she never sent us a single document of information we requested. Her response was always these things take time and I have to get approval before I send you any information.
I don’t know if she was having a bad week or she is always like this but basically she picks and chooses who she wants to work with and apparently she didn’t want to work with us. I’ve thrown many events and never have I receive such a lack of effort from an event coordinator or sales manger. We’re spending thousands of dollars to throw an event but apparently our money is not good enough for them so we’ll go elsewhere. She puts the B in Witch and thinks her condescending responses are so funny in the most non professional way.
Thankfully, there are tons of convention spaces here in Vegas, and there’s no shortage of people trying to make money renting out...
Read moreThis was my 2nd year attending the Winter Las Vegas Market. This one was exactly as well organized. My badge pickup took less than 5 minutes. The shuttle buses are "regional" type buses and so very clean and comfortable. The shuttle process is consistent and flawless. I am taken aback by the sheer number of staff guiding guests at the drop off area and guiding all of us to the buildings. The far majority of event staff are smiling and extending a verbal welcome as you pass by. There are many ways to find the areas you need. Literature is easy to use. The use of technology is quite current (online registration; there is a Las Vegas Market smartphone app; frequent emails which are relevant and heloful.) In summation, if you plan ahead and get a good deal at a hotel (make sure the hotel is on the shuttle route or there is a shuttle pick-up within walking distance) this Market is well worth the time and expense. I have made a couple profitable connections with new vendors...
