I was fully satisfied with the quality of service and product that I experienced from Arka Designs, and I would like to share the story behind the ring I made for my fiance from Arka Designs.

I have been in search of finding a jewelry store that accepts custom design requests as I have a very particular idea and sketch for the ring’s design; the shape, material, and other details. After visiting multiple jewelry stores around Los Angeles, I landed on Arka Designs and decided to make the ring from the place. Here are the following reasons.

First, Vito was very open to talking and hearing my stories and ideas about the ring. I am very particular about the designs and concepts of objects, and this ring was so important for me to get it done right that I had so many questions and comments about the ring design. At some point, I felt bad thinking that I had taken too much time away from Vito. However, he always listened, paid attention, and remembered all of my remarks about the ring, and the final result of the ring said it all. Even though this is a review, on this behalf, I would like to thank Vito again.

Second, Vito is an experienced jeweler with good insights. His years of experience as a jeweler really helped my idea of design to be solidified with no compromise in its quality. I did not have much experience in jewelry manufacturing, so it was really nice to have someone like Vito who explains about the manufacturing process, step by step, with good details. Vito offers a price range per piece, and he decodes the reason / logic behind each pricing, step by step. I did not want to compromise on any quality and craftsmanship for the piece I had in mind, so I went with the highest option that Vito offered and I am so satisfied and delighted that I chose that option.

This last reason is something I can write after my experience of designing a custom piece with Vito, and it is the fact that Vito is a person I (You) can really trust when it comes to jewelry. Jewelry is an item that really requires trust beneath its beauty and look. Our ring did not have diamonds, but when it came to the exact amount of gold that was used and other manufacturing processes involved, Vito was fully transparent about it. We are planning on purchasing jewelry that includes precious stones from Arka Designs in the future, solely due to trust I gained and beautiful pieces I have seen from the store.

I've been using this shop since 2015. Finding a right jeweler for my engagement ring drained us. Then we met Vito. As we checked the price for the design I wanted from other jewelry shops on that day and the day before, we knew that he gave us a good price compared to others. It also helped that he has a nice shop inside the Biltmore hotel, rather than small factory looking shops in the Jewelry district where I could not have privacy or build trust and also whose owners didn't seem to bother to talk to us or made me feel bad for wanting the best price. Vito offered to validate our parking upfront and had the similar design from the one I brought. The way he presented the ring was cool as well, made me feel like a princess. I constantly looked at the stone out of joy, when I first got the engagement ring. I think he gave some discount or bigger stones for our wedding bands and my necklace and earrings for our wedding as his wedding gift. After then, I've been coming back occasionally with the designs I would like for earrings and necklaces, I think most of the times his prices were better than what I saw online for similar designs. When it's not better, he explained his procedures well compared to other mass-producing online shops. At first, I was uncomfortable to speak up when things didn't turn out in the way I saw the designs I brought, but later he made me comfortable and accepted cancelation (switching into another design with the price I paid). He is also good at finding pretty and high quality gemstones, even though his specialty is diamond. That allows me to get the jewelry I like, even when I can't afford diamond earrings and necklaces. Words can barely express how grateful and happy I am to have worked with Vito on a truly very special ring. My mother and father recently passed away and my mother left me her engagement ring from my father. The stone was very small (just over a half carat) and had been damaged by another jeweler. Vito recommended cutting the damage out of the stone, but I was worried about how much smaller the stone would end up being. Vito went over the pros and cons of cutting the stone and I decided to trust him by having the stone cut and I’m so glad I did. Vito and his team managed to cut the significant damage out of the stone and the end result has the stone still being a half carat! I don’t know how they did it, but the stone is now beautiful and flawless!

When it came time for the design I told Vito that I wanted to reset the stone, but still honor it because of the connection to my parents. Working on a new design was a bit nerve racking and emotional for me, but Vito was amazing at giving me peace of mind that the final product would be stunning. Vito patiently went through all of the design options that I brought to him and gave his honest feedback on each design, keeping in mind my desire to highlight the stone and stay within my budget. With Vito’s assistance I chose the final design and we moved forward with creating the ring.

I have just received my redesigned ring and it is honestly stunning! The ring is more beautiful and precious than I could have imagined and I can’t thank Vito enough for all of his help, expertise and guidance.

I will definitely be going back to Vito for any other jewelry needs that I have and can’t recommend him enough for anyone else that needs an honest, fairly priced, incredibly helpful and professional jeweler.
