I was severely disappointed about this place and will tell my friends and promoters to not advertise nor come here. I had made reservations for 8pm for my Fiancés birthday since I saw a video about the dj and fire show and thought it would be something cool to book. Especially since my friend group had some upcoming birthdays so usually one of us will go check the place out to see if it lives to the hype. Since this time it was for my fiances birthday I wanted to insure we had a seat hopefully near where the lady would be doing her fire show so I booked it around 4 weeks ahead. On the reservation it asked if it was for an event and I put the birthday option. Upon arrival there was man at the host stand who was wearing glasses and a brown leather coat who initially ruined the experience. We were on time for our reservation but there was a group in front of us who had a huge party so they were accommodating for them which i understand since it can be difficult to navigate with bigger parties so I don’t mind the wait but what upsetting was that once he did find the accommodation for them he never once acknowledged us to even give our name for the reservation which he did look at us and still walked the other way which in the end he went to the group was just making casual conversation. We waited 18 mins to finally be acknowledged which I was checking the time. We were seated but the lady didn’t to even know where to seat us. At this point I felt bad for my fiance because this was not what I wanted him to experience on his birthday. The only saving grace was our waiter who was very nice and helpful. The food was mundane which I could get over because we were here for the ambiance and entertainment not the food. The entertainment came out around 9p and which she was really good but only interacted with the big parties not really the smaller parties and our seats were obstructed. Which was disappointing since that was the main reason why we came. There was issue with our check which got corrected but I do not blame the waiter for that since he was doing his best but overall from the initial interaction the long waits to get 2 drinks was not worth the money. Also the fact this happened only couple hours says a lot since I usually could care less about a bad experience to write...
Read moreI recently visited Casa Ipanema in downtown LA, and wow, what a vibe! The place is absolutely stunning, with a cozy and tropical atmosphere that really makes you feel like you're on a vacation . The staff was super friendly and attentive and not only explained the menu but also gave us awesome recommendations. The food? Incredible!!! We ordered appetizers and several plates to share. The truffle foundue was to die for! The Casa Branzino, was cooked to perfection—flaky, flavorful, and just the right amount of seasoning. Another standout was the Picanha—if you're a fan of steak, this is a must-try. The cut was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right, with a nice sear on the outside while staying juicy and tender on the inside. Also, the fillet mignon was absolutely top-notch. The meat was so flavorful, and every bite was so smooth it practically melted in my mouth. The combination of perfectly cooked beef and the smooth, melted cheese made each bite feel indulgent. To finish off the meal, we had the “Choco or Flan?” and wow, it was so good. It’s this delicious combo of chocolate cake and creamy flan, all topped with caramel. The flavors and textures were on point, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the night. Overall, Casa Ipanema is the perfect spot if you're looking for great food, fun vibes (there are DJ’s playing smooth, chill electronic music, which really sets the tone for a relaxed, yet lively evening) To top it off, an exotic dancer came out performing with fire sticks, adding an exciting and unexpected touch to the night. It definitely made the experience feel unique and fun. I can’t wait to go back for the experience and off course to try more dishes. Highly...
Read moreI went here a little after 5 passing by while walking to my hotel and got enticed by the music and Tulum like interior. So I stepped in and was greeted by Jose. Jose was super friendly and told me about the delicious options they have.
I was not hungry yet but asked about later and if it was like a club too because there was a DJ and some space to Dance. He said to my joy, we will have a dance with fire at 8 if you come back!
I was going to come back for the vibe and food selection and this made me want to come even more!
So i came back and enjoyed a seat at the bar and reviewed my food options from their Instagram page that got me influence to order the Branzino $65 served with tortillas, kale, I added in a side of street corn for $11, and chiles toreados for $12. What captured me in the instagram was how good the cucumber salad looked with the tuna $18 which was heavenly and paired well with the guarana antarcite $5.
I knew my order and sent it straight to my server Erica who was very helpful in checking out and getting my to go box and receipt after I completed my time.
The fire dancer part was so fun it was for like maybe 15 mins for like 2-3 songs. Great show while enjoying my time at this recently opened of one month restaurant! Also at the end they gave me a $15 voucher for when I come back next time!
So sweet! Thank you Erica, Jose and bartenders, bussers all staff! I had a great experience by myself.
At the end I had a friend that saw me and I went over to their table to see the pan de queso that was something I may have missed by it and too my expectations it was great!
I can't wait to come back and eat here again with my other...
