The building and the apartment are amazing; however, I've only been here for a little over a month and have already encountered countless issues. Do not move here, seriously. Starting with the application process: When I applied for the apartment, I was approved with a $600 deposit, which was great. However, shortly afterward, they increased it to $3,000. I tried asking them to lower it, but they said it was non-negotiable. As a result, I had to pay significantly more upfront than what was originally stated in their system—5x more, to be exact. Upon moving in: Initially, we didn't face many issues, except that getting a dolly to move our belongings was inconvenient. We had to retrieve it from the other building, as apparently, both buildings share just one dolly. So, if you're planning to move in here, be prepared to bring your own supplies or spend time chasing down the shared dolly. While this was annoying, the following issues are far more serious. The EV parking situation: Before moving in, we were also considering purchasing a car for my wife. We debated between gas, hybrid, or electric and specifically asked the leasing agent if we could secure an EV parking spot in the building. She assured us that we could. Based on this information, we decided to get an electric car. However, after moving in, the story changed. Instead of "you will get an EV spot," it became "you will be added to a waitlist for an EV spot." Upon further investigation, it seems we won’t be getting an EV spot at all. In contrast, a friend of mine moved into a building in Hollywood with his Tesla, and while the building didn’t initially have EV charging stations, management installed one for him. It’s a completely different experience—one management works with tenants to solve problems, while the other misleads them, causing avoidable issues. Theft and security concerns: Just 21 days after moving in, the garage gate was left open, and someone broke into my wife’s new car. They stole her EV power adapter, which costs $1,100, and caused $500 worth of damage to her car window. Additionally, she couldn’t work for several days due to the incident. Despite notifying management, we haven’t received any response or support. The garage gates are consistently problematic—they’re either left open, broken, or completely inoperable. As a result, we’re often locked in or out of the building. The garage keys frequently don’t work, forcing us to check every entrance until we find one that does (if any). Most of the time, we have to call for assistance and hope someone picks up. Out of the three times I’ve called, only once was my call answered. To top it off, we moved in on October 23rd, and it’s only been about five weeks. Now, my wife is stuck with a brand-new car lease for another 35 months without the ability to charge it at home. We may end up losing a significant amount of money trading it in for a gas car lease, in addition to covering the $1,100 cost of the stolen EV adapter and the $500 repair for the damaged window—all after paying 5x the initial deposit that was originally approved. Another thing, to access the building and get in your apartment they give you a sort of magnetic key, which if it breaks or if you loose it, its almost $200 and if you need an extra one for any reason, they will not give it or sell it to you, they only give you amount of keys for the amount of people in your lease. so when my mom will come to visit me next year, I can imagine the size of the inconvenience that it will be. In summary: So far, this experience has been incredibly frustrating. We’re locked into a 16-month lease, and I feel like this is just the beginning of discovering what it’s really like to live here. I’ll continue to update you all on the situation, but as of today (12/02/2024), there’s been: No update on securing an EV parking space. No response regarding the theft and vandalism of my wife’s car. The garage gates were left wide open overnight and this morning when I left for work. Hopefully, things improve, but I’m not holding my breath.

DO NOT MOVE IN THIS APARTMENT. IF THEY OFFER YOU TO LIVE FOR FREE? Yes. IF YOU HAVE TO PAY THE RENT? NO. 4 times theft vandalism happened in 2 MONTHS. Last three were happened in 1 month between my car and my roommate’s car. Yes, we parked at designated spots what they gave. They put useless parking lot gate for resident which is not working many times. Stuck in the parking lot or the gate doesn’t open with the key šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø what is the point having useless parking lot gate when anyone can come inside and doing these things. We asked to get another parking spots but they said there’s no space to move. Also when I asked a security guy, before making police report, he said there’s no footage. He said the camera was off on my parking spots areašŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. I visited the office again and now they said they have footage but I can not see. Only police can see. Maybe this is the law thing that I can not see. ANOTHER THING is the bathroom smells like the toilet is smoking weed itself. It smells horrible every night. Your whole closet will smell like weed :) Just be mindful if you hate smelling like weed all the time. The gate bar when you enter the parking lot is broken every weekend. No jk every weekend. I don’t know what the security guys are doing.

I moved here a little over a week ago and have had a great move-in experience. The leasing agent, Suheyla, quickly understood what I was looking for and found me the right apartment within my criteria. The apartment faces a resort-style courtyard with a water fountain that turns off after 11 pm. Neighbors seem very friendly. The amenities are awesome, and there are so many of them! My favorite is the rooftop with the pool, jacuzzi, and gym. Overall, this is a great place if you're looking to live right in the city yet want to relax after work. You can definitely do that here. Also, a big shoutout to the maintenance team, who was super responsive regarding the small issues I had with two appliances.

UPDATE - 3-8-25: I moved out and whew! DO NOT MOVE HERE, THIS WHOLE PLACE IS A SCAM. I did a walk through with maintnence before I moved out and he told me I would get my whole deposit back, minus utilities and that was not the case. They charged me for a bunch of bullshxt. I took a very extensive video. I might need to contact a lawyer. This is literally the worst place I have ever lived, I would not reccommend anyone to move here.

I have lived in the south building almost a year and a half now. My lease is almost up :) YAY! I am very very excited to move from this terrible ass place and I wish I could have gotten out of my lease earlier. I am counting down the days until I can return my keys. I have been depressed and very unhappy living here. The unit I lived in was good, no complaints there. However, there are a lot of other issues with this place. I dont see how this place has 3.9 stars. My car was broken into recently and management was absolutely no help. I had to pay out of pocket to get it fixed, which was $250+, not including everything i had to replace that was in my car. They weren’t going to do anything until I begged them to move my parking spot because i was scared they would come back and steal my whole car. They finally moved my spot, only after crying to them and going off on them in the leasing office. They tell you to file a police report and thats it. The parking structure is owned by a separate company is what they will tell you. I got a special when i moved in for free parking for my lease term, if i was paying for parking like some of the other residents, i definitely would have gotten my lawyer involved. My best friend came over and stayed the night one night and all 4 of her windows were broken into and they came back a few hours later and stole the whole damn car. That was over $5,000+ worth of damage and stolen thing out of her car. The car was found a week later by the East Los Angeles Police department and they took both of her cadilic converters and her battery on top of everything else. I think these car breaks in are an inside job because of how easy and fast they are able to do this and no help from the leasin office, but thats another story. The leasing office was no help, again. Didnt offer to help, didnt follow up, absolutely NOTHING. The leasing office and management are terrible here and honestly, they make it seem like it’s your fault for your car being broken into. I wish I would have never moved here. I literally have PTSD from my car and my best friends car being broken into and stolen. I constantly go check on my car, I bought an anti-theft lock and $85 dollars and I leave absolutely nothing in my car anymore. I check on my car every single day. I do not even leave a charging cord. They don’t inform residents of the break ins either which is sketchy to me. They don’t inform residents of a lot of things as I am reading the reviews. You nor your guest cars are safe here. I have had people park in my parking spot and I had nowhere to park because they don’t allow residents to park in guest parking anymore. So I park behind my spot so the car in my spot cant get out without me moving my car. Once you sign that lease and moved in they do not care about their residents. When things go wrong in the building they dont send out e-mails informing residents of whats going on. Please be aware, security is terrible and they do absolutley nothing. Your car will more than likely be broken into, even if you pay for parking. I read some of the other reviews and whew! I agree with most of them especially about the cars being broken into, garage doors not ever working. This place is definitely not safe and management and security are a JOKE! The homelessness is crazy, when I moved in there was not as much as there is now. I’ve seen homeless people peeing behind cars in the garage on the first floor, also one evening I was going out to grab food, there was a homeless person smoking a cigarette and shitting and peeing on...

So let me start off saying I moved here thinking this place was my saving grace. 4 month later, IM IN HELL. This building has no regard for its tenants whatsoever. The alarm goes off in the middle of the day, forcing you to do evacuations periodically. Loud noises from top floors like parties every day. Not to mention, everything breaks every other week. On top of that I had an incident with fraud on my bank account and I’ve lost almost $2000 last month. I called the manager to let them know that’s why my rent would need more time because I would have to pay part of the rent with money I made for this month. The manager proceeds to tell me that it’s already in evictions and that I’m gonna rack up eviction fees. I say OK well, how much do I have before it goes too far he says the 25th. I proceeded to pay my rent with the late fee and a day and a half later Joey/johnny (the rude and unconcerned manager) To tell me that he cannot accept my rent because I won’t pay utilities. He says that, even though I gave him all of my rent with the late fee that they can’t accept it without the 234 dollar utilities. Oddly enough, I wasn’t aware that apartment buildings had the means to force you to pay utilities. Prior to this incident when I first paid rent after my free months rent, it didn’t go through for some reason. So I get a call from the one of the building managers and he tells me I have a balance that will be sent to eviction. I asked him why I already paid the rent and he said that it came back as insufficient funds. I look at my bank account and I still see the money in there and I let him know that. He tells me well why Is it still in your bank account? Which you assume that it would be paid? I said, why would I assume that the money wouldn’t be coming out of my account if I already submitted the payment online? How much sense does it even make to say that I’m the problem when I’m the one who paid online and it didn’t go through. Common sense is not common and apparently not to these building managers either. I will be looking into this my mom is a lawyer, so we’re already working on it. I am going to take necessary steps to try to get out of this lease because it seems like this building is all over the place, There’s always bums in the parking lot, There was a bum trying to steal my clock from my car before I caught him when I took it out. When you think about living somewhere you’re supposed to feel safe and you’re supposed to feel like your building is taking care of you especially when fraud affects your income for the next few weeks. All this to say DO NOT MOVE HERE! I was warned not to move here now Im stuck and will have to pay to get out my lease early or find someone to take my lease.

They will lie on paperwork if they have too!!! They wont get away with these racist tactics to get people of color out for just a...
