I have been struggling with chronic pain since I got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis . I was on NMARDs and 20mg of prednisone for a couple of years and my condition was not improving at all. I ended up doing a low grade chemo session as my last resort and still had the worst flare up . I had to stop exercising and moving all together for some time , the steroids no longer provided any relief from the inflammation. I have been off a biological for about a year and have managed to reduce the dosage from 20mg to 10mg of prednisone per day but I still struggle with chronic pain and some inflammation. I have been looking for alternative methods to help my body heal . I had heard of acupuncture and was curious to try it . I went to one acupuncturist and I don’t feel like we connected but I did notice a difference after the acupuncture session . So I decided to look for someone else , I found Dr.David Di on Google and sent him an email and he kindly replied and said he had different methods that could help me . I decided to make an appointment and couldn’t be more happy to have found him . To begin with , his health questionnaire is very extensive . He then did the consultation and also asked many questions and he LISTENED to my concerns and addressed them . It’s so important that providers listen to the patient and not dismiss them or ignore their concerns . He then explained what he was going to do and proceeded . I am a very curious person so I like to ask questions and he answered every single one , very patiently and in detail . When I first went in which was 3 weeks ago , my elbows were so stiff I couldn’t extend them to push me off from the floor , I had stiff neck , achy joints . My back muscles hurt , I couldn’t even breathe properly . My right ankle was also very stiff , impossible to walk without a limp. Today was my third session and I have zero stiffness on my neck , shoulders and back . I can almost extend my elbows back to normal and my right ankle is not as achy . I remember after the first session , I told David that I hoped to get better and he said “ you will, just give me a chance .” He didn’t push any amount of sessions on me , he told me that he would do his best with 30min or an hour session. If I didn’t feel better after 5 sessions then he would suggest discontinuing his services .I think that says a lot about him . He is not in it for the money and he believes in what he does . And I can attest to his work . He listens and he makes you feel safe and understood. When I suggest something he takes into account and applies it to the treatment . I think his prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of service and care you receive . We need more people like him in the health care services . So if you are in pain , I would suggest you give him a chance , probably the best decision I have made thus far in 2023 🥹 oh and he actually treats you for the time you paid for 🥹🥹 you know how sometimes they cut your sessions short lol , well he...
Read moreI was recommended to David by a friend who has been seeing him for years for her chronic back pain. This was my first time experiencing acupuncture, and I knew I needed to try something new after experiencing deep muscular pains in my back, coupled with a recent scoliosis diagnosis.
The communication prior to my appointment was amazing! I booked online via his website, and in the days leading up to my visit, I received a couple reminder texts, as well as very thorough information on where to park (bring $5 in CASH).
Upon coming into his office, I was greeted by Brittney, who was super friendly and explained all the necessary documents I needed to complete. I arrived really early to my appointment time because I was already in the area, and to my surprise, David was willing to fit me in earlier! He did not have to (nor did I ask to) given that he is client-to-client, but that goes to show his above and beyond service.
I explained my pain points and challenges, and David listened attentively during my consultation and was ready to address the issues with ease. I was genuinely surprised by the level of service and comfort—he did some sort of massage down my spinal area and noted the areas that were more painful for me. I typically grin and bear the pain, but he made sure we were communicating with each other so that he wasn’t stressing on the areas that were painful. He then did chiropractic-level movements with my neck and back, which ended with a cupping session and then the acupuncture.
Throughout the entire service, David was professional, thorough, and light-hearted. I can tell that he will try to match the energy of his clients, and I say this because I laugh when I’m in pain, and he was quick to reassure and, again, communicate clearly. He also recommended a few targeted exercises to help with my pain.
I had no expectations for this consultation, and having experienced a massage, chiro, PT, and acupuncture all in one session has made me a repeat client! David is worth the price and...
Read moreDr David was found via GOOGLE so many thanks. I'm passing it forward!
I used to see Dr Cathy Ming in N Hollywood from 1989-2002. Her and her husband Harry had a great little shop on Riverside at Lauren Canyon. SHE COULD CURE ANYTHING! She retired at 70 and everyone I knew that went to her panicked. She was generational as Her father was also an acupuncturist his entire career. That is like 130 years of experience and it showed in results. Didn’t matter what your ailment was, Cathy fixed it. She was a genius.
Since then, between living in Palm Springs, LA, NYC, Boston, and Chicago (and now back to LA,) in 20+ years I have not found an acupuncturist where when you leave the office you feel IMMEDIATE results, lighter, happier, more energy, with tremendously reduced symptoms, and faith that the money was well spent.
I was starting to think I didn’t believe in acupuncture at all anymore.
I have a new Dr Ming in Dr David Li. Huge improvement all around. My partner notice it when I walked through the front door and even commented how profoundly lighter and happier I was. I CANNOT recommend David highly enough.
Now, I as a gay man, will be giving him 'notes' on his offices, but results is where it counts and I am a different person after suffering with a torn meniscus for 4 months. 75% reduction in one session.
Rebooking for next...
