My residency at 717 Olympic has been fraught with numerous significant issues: M 1.Frequent Utility Outages: Regular water and power disruptions occur at least twice a week, often with just 24-hour advance notice.
2.Inconsistent Hot Water Supply: Hot water availability is a major issue, with cold showers being the norm after 9 AM.
3.Elevator Malfunctions: Elevator breakdowns are frequent, with residents regularly getting stuck, posing serious safety concerns.
4.Maintenance and Leasing Office Shortcomings: Maintenance typically resorts to temporary fixes. Interactions with leasing office staff are often negative and unhelpful.
5.Inadequate Amenities and Facilities:
•The pool is shallow and frequently dirty, doubling as a hot tub. (4feet deep)
•The gym lacks sufficient equipment beyond cardio, making external gym memberships necessary.
•The rooftop is unclean and without seating. Doubling as an unofficial dog park
•Patio furniture is in a state of disrepair and moldy.
•The screening room is inoperable Basically there for show.
6.Parking and Towing Concerns: The building provides only six guest parking spaces for a 27-floor complex, which is grossly insufficient. Additionally, there’s an aggressive towing policy.
7.Air Quality and Unpleasant Odors: Hallways frequently smell of vomit and cigarette smoke, with attempts to mask these smells using air fresheners being ineffective.
8.Rotating Front Desk Staff and Security Issues: Frequent changes in front desk personnel contribute to a sense of insecurity among residents.
9.Garage Safety and Security Lapses: The garage has experienced multiple instances of car break-ins and damage, with little to no response from the leasing office.
10.Staff Residency and Service Quality: All building staff living on-site seems to affect their approach to service, often negatively.
High Utility Bills: Despite minimal usage, utility bills are excessively high, ranging from $400-$500 per month. Even during a two-month absence with everything off, the utility bill was $350.
Impact of Airbnb Usage: A considerable portion of the building is used for Airbnb, contributing to ongoing maintenance and security challenges.
Removal of Complimentary Amenities: Previously, residents had access to complimentary coffee and on-site computers for use. However, since the new manager, Eric, took over, these amenities have been removed. This change has reduced the overall value and convenience once offered to the residents, contributing to a less hospitable living...
Read moreI’m typically not one to write reviews. It’s ironic because I rely so heavily on them before I purchase anything or pay for a service. I guess I’m just lazy. What’s interesting is I find the time to write a poor review opposed to a good one. Maybe it’s because it gives me a slight sense of resolve. I also feel the need to protect other good people from a bad experience. Well I have good news this time. I had such an exceptional experience touring and leasing an apartment recently I felt compelled to share my experience.
I toured 717 Olympic last month and I was pleasantly surprised by their easy and efficient process. The security was kind and the building was well kept. In particular my leasing agent Marvin made the difference. I really appreciated the time he took answering my questions and making me feel welcome. Often times, building managers have so much on their plate you feel rushed when meeting with them. I can tell he was just as busy but he knew how to be present in the moment and manage his time wisely. His experience and professionalism gave me the confidence I needed to know I was speaking to the right person. Moving can be stressful. It’s important to have a proper experience when deciding on your next home. I’m happy to say that this was a genuinely pleasant experience as opposed to a meaningless transaction. Thank you Marvin and the entire 717 Staff for providing the exceptional service we...
Read moreAVOID 717 Olympic at all costs.
Let's start by saying this company is a bunch of money hungry thieves.
I lived in this building for 2 years. Not a luxury building at all. If it wasn't for Hector, Chris and Mario I would have left within my first year.
My hallway smelled of smoke every morning and night. Could hear weights being dropped every single day from the gym below. Non-stop break-in's in peoples cars. Always some resident fighting staff or blasting music outside till 2am. There was a strip club casino in the penthouse at one point. The leasing management team is horrific and only look for profits.
When I decided to move out they charged me an absurd "extra days" when I moved out on the 1st. They continued to bill me for utilities. I will say their utilities are insanely higher compared to the adjacent buildings nearby. I was quoted a simple $160 cleaning fee which ended up being over $400.
These people are criminals, get everything in writing before and after you move out. They will attempt to get you with the 4 weeks free or whatever promo they have going. Just save yourself the headache and move to Alina or Circa.
AVOID this headache at all costs. Now my families legal team is having to deal with the $1k I owe them apparently. Will sue and...
