Matt is a unique 1of1 guy, he's MY DUDE! I will get into all the detail about his craft, but first and foremost I need to mention how good of a soul he is. I remember once I was having a rough time when I saw him, and he told me my cut was on the house. He genuinely cares and feels for his clients. He also supported working actors and production folks impacted by the strikes just because he could. I will continue to show him my loyalty and support him NO MATTER WHAT. Words do not do justice to how great of a human Matt is, and I will scream it from the rooftops.

From a straight barber POV, you can find no better bang for your buck. I've been going here since the beginning days of the shop and Matt has worked his tail off to make this a top barbershop in Hollywood. He knows his hair extremely well, and TAKES HIS TIME. Cannot say how awesome it is to have a barber that will not feel rushed and will make sure it's perfection. Never hesitates to give you his opinion on what does and does not look good for you. And if you know exactly what you want, he can execute that no problem. He also has an impressive amount of experience cutting different types of hair if you are concerned about that. Just ask and you will get a genuine honest take from Matt.

Being new to the area, I wasn't sure where to go for a cut. I turned to Yelp and was lucky enough to find Matt. His reviews were glowing so I went for it and boy did he not disappoint. No exaggeration, hands down best taper fade I have ever received. Not only was the cut on point, the experience was the best. Matt is a down to earth, talented dude. I was offered a cold beverage of choice, sat down with little wait and we instantly hit it off. He knew exactly what I was looking for. I have had one bad experience after another with no one ever getting what I wanted just right. Matt was the first to make it happen exactly how I envisioned it. On top of it all, he trimmed my beard and gave my head a wash. Above and beyond. I will recommend Matt to all my friends and family and highly recommend him to anyone searching for a great haircut and experience....

I wasn't sure I believed all the hype, but it's true. Matt is a consummate professional. His shop is neat, clean, simple and attractive, and his services are fast, high quality, and very reasonably-priced. After delivering a great cut, he also takes the time to quickly wash-out your hair before final styling -- a very nice touch that I don't often see in a "regular barber shop". Matt himself is also very friendly and engaged, but relaxed, and clearly considerate of the experience he is delivering to his customers. On the day of my appointment, a previous appointment was running late. I was very impressed with the way that Matt handled the pressure and made sure everyone was happy and satisfied...(but PLEASE be on time to your appointments, people) ;-). This is definitely my new...
