Let me begin by saying “ I love Mexican food “ I’m a paralegal for a law firm . I just moved to California from Florida two months ago . I decided to have my lunch at this location today. I bought a super burrito , two tacos , two cups of sour cream and a large drink about $20 worth of food for myself. The employees stare , if you are not Mexican . They snicker and giggle like ignorant children . I ignored it . I put my food on the table . I walked over to the area where you get your lemons, sauces , etc . There were several other people in that area getting the same condiments as well. One lady from the back of the kitchen stares at me and says .. “are you picking up an order ? “ I stated “no , my food is on the table” … she then told me some people walk in and grab condiments without buying food . She assumed I was doing the same . She did not ask any of the others the same thing that she asked me . Why me ? Because I’m not Hispanic ..Disgusting. I explained to her this “ I would never look at her and judge her for her culture , her lack of English , her poor grammar , or accent and she should not judge others . “ furthermore , my grandparents both The White and Black grandpas have fought wars in the military for this country so that EVERYONE can come here and be safe FREELY. I’m at least 13 generations in this country . Who gives her or anyone the right to stare at me or judge me here in America ?! No one ! I bought my food like a normal working class citizen . If you don’t want non Mexican people in your establishment.. stay in Mexico ! . Or do they not want you there either ?! See how ugly that sounds ?! Treat people how you want to be treated and develop professionalism and respect for others ! Be careful who you mistreat , I will not be back. But I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau...

It’s not too greasy and holds together without breaking the tortilla. Plus the tortilla is a little thicker than the street ones that double the tortilla but it still breaks.
The beef is not over cooked which leaves the taco full of flavor in each bite with no burnt bits.
They are more a “chain” than a street taco option but it’s solid, has great service and is a “can’t go wrong” Mexican Cuisine option. You can expect authentic dishes, unlimited self serve horchatas and an exciting vibe here.
Tacos Gavilan also offers self-service beans, onions and cilantro, chile peppers, lemons and pre packaged salsa which is cleaner than everyone digging their own from a bucket. The restaurant is always clean, has TVs with music and plenty of space to find a table. I ordered the beef tacos, added a cup of beans from the self serve bar and enjoyed the Latin Music Videos.
It was a great “pit stop and a...

"Tacos Gavilan is a standout in the world of Mexican cuisine! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was thoroughly impressed. The prices were incredibly reasonable, with most tacos and burritos ranging from $3-$5. The customer service was lightning-fast, with friendly and attentive staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. But what really caught my attention was the spotless facilities - the dining area and restrooms were immaculately clean and well-maintained.
The food was, of course, the star of the show. The carne asada tacos were tender and flavorful, and the homemade salsa bar added a delightful touch. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Tacos Gavilan's combination of quality, value, and exceptional service. Highly...
