Royal West / brioche bun, eggs, tteok-galbi (short rib patty), cheddar cheese, grilled onion, pickles, chives, house sriracha aioli, egg sauce - 5 🌟!
I was attending an event in the area and wanted to grab a light meal before the event, and Egg Tuck seemed like a good option. It was exactly what I was looking for. They specialize in Korean inspired breakfast sandwiches. The sandwich I had was packed with flavor and was filling, but not so much food I would feel heavy at the event I was heading to.
They are in a small space in a strip mall in Hollywood, so you'll have to get your meal to go. I prefer to eat my meals freshly made so I ate this egg sandwich in my car. It wound up being a fairly messy sandwich, which I don't mind at all but thought it was worth mentioning.
The eggs were tasty and fluffy. The toppings were well balanced and full of flavor. The menu had a variety of creative options that I would like to return and try. I hadn't heard of them before randomly finding their Hollywood location, but it looks like they have 3 locations in LA to choose from. This one is nice because there is...
Read moreWas visiting from Vegas and was looking for a good brkfst spot to checkout while in Cali nd Egg Tuck was first on the list. Came to the restaurant nd it seemed rlly busy, food looked exquisite, staff was kind .. AT FIRST! Me nd my bf we’re waiting outside when a homeless man came up nd asked if we could buy him some food. We had no problem helping the man out until one of the workers (maybe manager) came up to us telling us we didn’t have to buy him anything cs “it’ll encourage them to keep doing what they’re doing” honestly, for a business that’s seems successful nd well-known, that was a low-blow response for one of the workers to say! Then proceeds to tell me nd my bf he knows that feeling as if he were the one begging customers for food! This was so unprofessional nd actually made us feel uncomfortable that the worker would jus diss a homeless man like that as if he were nothing! I stood outside making sure the man got his food nd then left Buu if I had the choice of picking another place to eat I would cs this was jus a sad to...
Read moreThis place is popular, but not for me. The food is fine. It's not the best, but it's fine. There's a lot of sweeteness in the brioche bun and sweet onions which doesn't pair well with pickles, chives and aioli. I hate the atmosphere. I've never been in a restaurant with signs "no eating inside." Turns out, it's not a restaurant. They might as well be a food truck. There were people crowded inside. Unbeknownst to me, they were waiting to pick up orders, not place orders. There was no organization. You can only order from a kiosk. There's no way to customize a drink to have no ice. I tried to talk to a couple of people and they walked away from me (presumably because they didn't hear me or they didn't speak English). They don't have a public restroom or any place to wash your hands. I guess it's not bad if you don't want to eat your food while it's hot, or have no place to wash your hands after egg dribbles all...
