I parked here once, more than willing to pay what ever fee since street parking in this neighborhood is impossible but there was no parking attendant. I was away for five minutes while I picked something up and when I returned some guy who claimed to own the parking lot put cones around my car and demanded I pay. So I offered to pay by card and he claimed he had no card reader, I then offered cash but claimed he didn’t have change so what am I to do here? I was forced to go looking for change in the middle of this neighborhood until a nearby business was able to break change. What kind of business uses hostile tactics and then is unprepared with the most basic resources to run a business like card readers or at very least change. They held me against my will and I recorded the whole thing so I am currently in the process of lawyering up to sue the owner for false imprisonment and other civil...

He knew spots were available. The parking is free with validation. You do have to walk towards MacArthur Park to get to Langers on the corner. The streets from parking lot to Langers are kinda stinky and sticky underfoot, but Langers is an deli institution and the matzoh ball soup...the pastrami on rye also the cheesecake are totally worth the short...
