This review is about 12 years late haha. I guess it's better late than never. I was 22 when I went here - I used to work at the 24 hour fitness just a block or 2 away from O U. I'm a black male who used to suffer from ingrown hairs on my neck - a very common issue. I used to talk to Matt Kramer and Marion all the time when I went there. It's thanks to them that I was able to find a solution to my ingrown hair problem.
For YEARS, the only solution for us black men was various creams and ointments that burned your skin (and dried it out), and they never worked.
First, Marion suggested that I try laser hair removal. She did a laser test on a small area of my neck, but my skin ended up being too sensitive for that. I want to thank them for putting the customer first, and not just trying to sell me on a procedure that would possibly ruin my skin.
Next, Marion suggested I try a microdermabrasion. I'd never heard of it, but it made absolute sense to me that this should solve my problem, so I booked a microdermabrasion session.
I tell you, I almost cried when the procedure was done, and the bumps on my neck were GONE. The hairs that were trapped underneath my skin for all those years stood straight out, and my neck looked smooth as hell! For the first time in 6 years!
I can not emphasize enough that my neck was a major point of insecurity for me. This gave me such a massive boost in confidence & self-esteem. I ended up booking another session a few months later even though I had no need to do so - I just enjoyed the feeling of the microderm procedure.
It's been all of these years later, and my neck still looks like it did when I got my first microderm from O U. I can not thank you guys enough. I'm almost certain none of them remember me, but they made this much of an impact on me/my life that I feel obligated to write this review for them.
Wishing you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going to OU Beauty for yearsātried both locationsābut Iāve landed at the Little Tokyo spot with Samantha, and Iām not looking back. Sheās the kind of injector you hope to find: warm, honest, grounded, and razor-sharp with her technique. Iāve been getting Botox and fillers for a long time, and with her, itās the first time Iāve felt like someone truly got my face. No overdoing it, no surprisesājust clean, natural results that make me feel like the best version of myself.
OU doesnāt try to be flashy. They donāt need to. The team is tight, the space is comfortable, and everyone knows their role. Prices are competitive, and they accept rewards programsāwhich is greatābut the reason I stay is the consistency and trust. My friends started asking what I was doing. Now they go too.
Before OU, I was always jumping around, never quite sold on any one place. Now Iāve found my spot. That...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNurse Melanie did a sloppy job on my lips and jawline and I dropped a few thousands of dollars at this place mind you. The injector has very little knowledge about teqniques and fillers. She made me look worse than I did before the injection, plus she injected me in the wrong spot which looks horrible now and itās fone with Radiesse which is known to be hard to dissolve. Little does the nurse know when she tries to dissolve it with hyaluronidase. Not to mention that at first she was in denial of injecting that spot whereas itās a very obvious line of filler but then she tries to dissolve it with a wrong treatment... so what were you dissolving if you didnāt inject me there then?
Iāll not leave it as it is and will do my best to bring this to any level possible so incompetent med spas like this one donāt touch...
