I like this place, and would still recommend it. It is very unique because of their activities and indoor outdoor place. Very large space, good communication as far as what is going on during the day activity wise. Everyone here seems great with all the varieties of dogs that visit. I don't have concerns over care, overall, nor do I feel like there is anything to hide or any sort of questionaboe care provided, which is the most important thing of all. If you are the type to want to see video that's an option too, it does cut off at a certain time which is understandable from a security perspective. This is unique as well. The location and brand uses Ginger app, which has some issues with the website, but that is not at fault for the daycare, and the daycare is quick to assist and help if you give them a call.
My only issue has been with the not so friendly pickup calls (towards the end of the night specifically). I will not disclose the name of the individual here, but owner/manager, please reach out.
Photos are proof of calls and messages sent out where I had to call to verify hours because I was told by this same employee that they wanted to, "wrap it up". Messages are copied and pasted and this employee is in the business of turning away clients for personal gains. I was told I needed to pick up by 8:30 on November 8 and wouldn't be able to pick up after that. Then yesterday the story changed. Please get rid of this employee. I feel I've been ripped off as well now looking back on it. Really uninviting having to deal with this person.
Your hours say until 9, so at 8 I do not want to be harassed to give a specific minute of exactly when I will pick up my dog. I will pick up my dog prior to 9. I understand phones go on night mode. 9 is 9, not 8:05 8:15. 8:20. I often cannot even answer my phone until just before pickup, so DO NOT call me and tell me I NEED to give you an exact time, only so you can literally turn the light off before I'm even out the small gate. This is not a reminder call, this is harassing your customers. This has twice now been a very demeaning and demanding call. One time I can somewhat understand as everyone has their off days and sometimes things are not said over the phone well. I paid for my time, so don't try to force me to hurry so you can go home early or rest yourself. Not a one off thing, same person both times. Not at all friendly, not even during pickup is this individual friendly. If employees try to "wrap things up" by harassing your customers and making up your own rules then you need to issue a refund for my stays, and this should be explained and disclosed online. I take my dog here because I am not available, but know I will be able to get him by pickup time, or because I want and need a break to do things, unfortunately I was forced to arrive early to please your employee. If I have any doubt I would plan accordingly for overnight and reach out.
I want to leave 5 stars, but a business that harasses customers and violates their own policy to the point of stealing time, making customers anxious is a definite...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently picked up our two dogs from a 10-day stay at South Park Doggie DTLA. After 5+ years of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent here, this will be our last visit.
One of our dogs requires daily Prozac, which we always provide along with a fresh bag of pill pockets so he'll reliably take his meds. When we returned home and resumed our routine, we opened the bag only to have hundreds of cockroaches swarm out. The infestation spread into our kitchen, and we now have to pay for ongoing extermination. We have never had any issues with pests such as roaches in our home before, and the extermination process has been costly and disruptive. This was clearly a health and cleanliness issue inside the facility.
What's worse, it became clear our dog was potentially not receiving his prescribed medication. If staff had been giving it daily, they would have opened the bag and noticed the infestation immediately. This raises serious concerns about the level of care provided to all pets, not just ours.
To make matters even more frustrating, when we brought this to higher management, instead of taking accountability, they turned it back on us -- saying that because we called the exterminator, it was "our problem." That response was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely ignored the real issue.
Cockroach infestations pose health risks, and the disregard for administering medication shows a lack of basic responsibility. After 5+ years of trust, we are extremely disappointed. Pet owners deserve better -- we strongly urge others to reconsider before boarding...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely LOVED!! LOVED!! LOVED this doggy day care. I had an emergency and my dog had to be out of my unit so the landlord could fix something while everyone was at work. I called and withing minutes I had all the info I needed. Liz sounded so jolly and excited to be at workš. She was very polite and helpful. I created my dogs profile and they were able to take her in a few minutes later. Throughout the day I was able to check on my dog through their live cameras and I could see how sweet they were to my dog. They even sent me a report card with pictures of her throughout the day and the way she was behaving. When I picked her up, I could see how much attention she was getting from the staff through their cameras. I'm so happy I found this place. I paid $43 for a full day and I'll definitely be taking her back so that she could burn up all her energy. I was in love with the amount of space she had to roam free and the doggy park set they have indoors for them. My dog came back really calm and tired and I'm a happy dog mom. She was safe and well taken care of and I am so...
