Venturing into Cow Cafe, an unassuming yet utterly charming establishment, we were immediately wrapped in a warmth that promised a delightful meal. My girlfriend’s choice, the Chilaquiles paired with a Dirty Chai, was met with enthusiastic approval. She remarked not only on the Chai’s robust flavor, which danced delightfully on the palate, but also on the café’s quaint charm, describing it as a ‘cute shop’ that feels inviting and genuine.
However, her delight was slightly marred by the café’s choice of paper plates. While she understood the casual vibe, it was a detail that felt out of step with the otherwise delightful experience. As for myself, the paper plates didn’t ruffle any feathers. They seemed in harmony with the café’s no-frills, authentic charm - it’s not pretending to be something it’s not, and that’s refreshing.
On the culinary front, the recommendation to try the Potatoes and Eggs, specifically scrambled, was spot on. Each bite was a testament to the cafe’s commitment to simple, yet profoundly satisfying dishes. This dish didn’t just meet expectations; it soared beyond them, firmly establishing Cow Cafe as a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary comfort wrapped in a casual, yet inviting ambiance. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, consider this a hearty recommendation to drop by – just be prepared for a laid-back dining experience, right down to the...
Read moreBest Avacado Toast in town. I usually order avacado toast with egg and a side of thier olive spread. Best combination ever. Although their bread crust burns the top of my mouth (crust is hard). The egg yolk, avocado, & olive spread trifecta consumes my taste buds and my mouth chews through the pain. It is so delicious. I also had thier chai latte which was delicious as well. The extra foam was surprising and appreciated. Next time I'll asked for it hotter. The only downside was the price. Avacado toast with side of olive spread and chai latte was $18! I would eat this both Saturday and Sundays but that's pricey for avacado toast. Parking is easy to find. Definitely a must eat! Update for 4-6-19. I ordered my usual today 4-6-19. Avocado toast, no aioli with side of olive spread and macha green tea for a whopping $22.50. Way to much for me. I can't afford lunch at this price. I will make it at home instead. I had their macha green tea latte with coconut. I'm going to give it a thumbs down. Barely warm. Taste okay but lattes should have a bit steam when served in my opinion. Anyways I...
Read moreI stopped by this place while attending a medical conference nearby. I was impressed with the interior feeling very cool but inviting, not overly sterile but still very clean. The people working were exactly the kind of people I want to see in a cafe, possible letters of the alphabet with fun outfits. I was struck by the menu being largely Mediterranean informed, which can be suspicious. I ordered a chai and a bagel. The chai was made really well, compliments to the barista. My bagel was all right, the ingredients seemed fresh but the combo was not exactly my favorite, I should've known since I don't really like labneh that much. I found out through my underground network of contacts that the restaurant owner is Syrian, which is...
