I came to visit my brother in L.A. I chose Aladdin because of the reviews...and the reviews are so accurate. I had the ribs, rice, pork and chicken buffet style. I was a little concerned because I was told to grab a plate and then they would tell me how much it cost. The total with my drink was under $10. For as much as I had, I think it was reasonable and I had variety on a plate. The chicken had a mustard sauce on it, the ribs were tender and fell from the bone. The rice had a perfect texture to it..not to soft but with a little chew. My favorite item was the pork. It was cut in cubes with great acidity. I go out to eat very often and it was nothing that I've experience before. It does seem like a "hole in the wall" so don't expect too much in terms of ambiance. The seating is also very minimal. I had to share a table with another gentlemen, which I didn't mind at all. Good to know if you are going during peak times. I went around noon. The lady at the desk was soooo nice and welcoming. She offered the buffet, but said she could have the kitchen make anything I wanted as well. Highly recommended! I may have to go back before heading...

The food was really good. But the service was the best. I was observing the interactions while I was eating. The costumers were treated like a guest at home, most of them were regular clients because the employees knew the name of most of them.
I had a chile relleno, chicken in mushroom sauce, beans and rice. Everything was homemade style and delicious. I definitely will be back.
This is a small, clean restaurant.
The food is buffet style and additionally you can order from the kitchen.

Read moreLoved this place! The reviews led me here, and they were all true. Cute little hole-in-the-wall with absolutely wonderful service, really tasty food that seems to be constantly changing, at a great price. Between my husband and my plates we had chicken, meatloaf, some kind of spicy braised pork (I think 😂 idk exactly but it was delicious), a sope, heaps of a really tasty cucumber salad, and really good tortillas, plus a couple drinks for $26. I'm such an indecisive person, so getting to eat so many different things for such a reasonable price...
