TL;DR: Red Lobster at Lynnwood offers a reliable dining experience with classic seafood and American fare. The cheddar bay biscuits are good, though they felt a bit more like bread than biscuits this time. My steak and fries were well-made, and the courteous service added to the experience. A solid choice for a casual meal with friends or family.
Full Review:
Red Lobster at Lynnwood delivers on the promise of a consistent and satisfying dining experience, with its familiar menu of American seafood standards and cozy New England-themed decor. As chain restaurants go, Red Lobster has a solid reputation, and this location offers just what you'd expect—good food, warm service, and a comfortable atmosphere for a casual meal.
One of the mainstays of a Red Lobster visit is the famous cheddar bay biscuits, which are usually a highlight. At this Lynnwood location, however, the biscuits seemed to lean more towards the bread-like side in texture, missing a bit of that classic crumbly, buttery biscuit feel. It may be a small deviation, or perhaps a tweak in the recipe over time, but they still made a nice appetizer to start the meal.
I opted for steak and fries this time around, a break from the seafood to test a broader spectrum of what Red Lobster offers. The steak was nicely cooked to order and had a satisfying char on the outside, with fries that were hot and crispy—a simple yet satisfying combo. Although seafood is the real focus here, it was nice to find that their land-based options don’t disappoint either.
Service was another highlight of the visit. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, making sure we were comfortable and our food arrived promptly. It’s always refreshing to have courteous service that enhances the overall experience, even when dining at a large chain.
In terms of atmosphere, Red Lobster keeps things cozy with its nautical decor and warm lighting, which makes it a comfortable choice for a casual meal with family or friends. It’s not a place you’d expect groundbreaking culinary adventures, but it certainly serves up what it does best—familiar, comforting flavors in a relaxed environment.
Overall, Red Lobster at Lynnwood is a solid choice for anyone looking for a decent, reliable meal in a relaxed setting. While there’s nothing exceptionally unique or standout about the experience, it delivers on expectations and remains a solid option for a pleasant, unhurried meal. A good spot to keep in mind for when you’re in the mood for something familiar, warm, and easygoing.

Read moreIt had been many years since I had dined at Red Lobster. Last Saturday reminded me of why. Poor quality service and poor quality of food. We were in the area and called to see if their was a wait time. The girl on the phone said NO. We explained that we were 10 mins away and just wanted to verify that we could be seated immediately. She confirmed. Unfortunately, that was NOT the case when we got there. The wait time was approx 45 mins. We were not the only unhappy patrons. People were complaining that they had been waiting well beyond their quoted seating time. People were seated ahead of others that had been waiting prior to the arrival of others. The older Male manager onsite was not doing damage control. He was busy seating people and leaving the hostess staff to figure it out. My party of 4 was not seated until the entire waiting area had cleared. Then they approached us, with a nasty attitude.
Once seated, we were greeted by our server Sonia. I asked for a water. We took a few moments to look over the menu. My friend and I ordered the same exact thing. Shrimp Caesar Salad. I asked for blue cheese crumbles and it took about 3 to 4 minutes for her to understand what I was asking for. She walked away and came back explaining that they do not have blue cheese crumbles. That was no big deal. We also ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque. When the Biscuits arrived at our table, they looked and smelled so good. However, looks are deceiving. I have NEVER in my life eaten a SALTY biscuit until that day. There was salt sprinkled on top of the biscuits. We thought it was a bad batch, so we requested more. Unfortunately the taste was the same. The lobster bisque was nothing more than SALTY bowl of something similar to a cheese soup with needle point sized pieces of lobster. It was not edible, but we did not complain. The salad was decent at best.
When it was time to pay. We applied our 10% off reward and then immediately noticed that there were 2 checks on the electronic table tablet. Before paying, we explained to Sonia what the issue was and she called the manager over and he did assist us and removed the added check from our tab.
Overall, I will not be dining at Red Lobster again. It was a very unpleasant visit and a true waste of time. Hostess was rude, manager wasn't taking charge, and the quality of food reminded me as to why I stopped frequenting their establishment so...
Read moreI am so disappointed with my experience with Red Lobster tonight. I would like to say I have been looking forward to this dinner for a while and would never recommend to anyone as it stands right now. Our service was great at the beginning and once the food arrived we never saw her again. My husband order “all you can eat shrimp” after we order the table next to us leaned over and said “good luck getting more then your first serving of shrimp” we thought they were being dramatic but after our mains came we understood what they meant. Once our food was dropped off it was impossible to get service. My husband plate was clear for 20 minutes, I was waiting more butter for my crab and lobster and more drinks, but no one came to check on us. After 10 more minutes (30 total) we asked a server cleaning tables of my husband could order more shrimp he said he would tell our server. 15 minutes went by (45 total) and our server came around asking if we wanted dessert and we asked on the order of shrimp she looked shocked and said she never was told to put in and would do now. After 15 minutes before food came out (1 hour) after my husband plate was empty. At this point we were so frustrated with the lack of service we didn’t even want them, let alone the other shrimp he planed on getting. I never did see a top up on my water even after asking 2 different server for water, and never got my extra butter. As someone who works in customer service I would want to know about the other things happening as we sat there food went back to the kitchen for being undercooked and another couple asked for there bill to be changed from all you can eat to the pick 3 as they never got asked for more shrimp. We paid on the machine after waiting another 20 minutes for the bill and never got dessert or drink top ups. I was so very disappointed to see the bill price after receiving such horrible service. I asked at the front if there was someone we could talk to and the host said “maybe send an email there no one here”. I was shocked no one was there to check on an very upset and disappointed paying customers.
