Palm Palms — Local services in Madeira Beach

My friend Jennifer and I did an overnight business trip to the area on April 16, 2025. Our company name is Peacock Premier Properties and we had a private tour scheduled on the 17th for a local Peacock farm. We decided to make it fun by arriving early and spending the evening within a short distance to the Jungle Prada Homestead. We chose Madiera Beach because we love all things waterfront. We booked a reservation at Scully's based on their star rating and arrived there to find it was an entire shopping complex set around the St Johns Pass Boardwalk. We were excited to see all the shops and hoped we could wrap up dinner in time to hit a couple of them. We finished about 8:45 p.m. and were told most of them closed at 9:00 p.m. but we decided to walk the strip anyway. The first few were your typical touristy ones which are great for out of state visitors. But I suddenly arrived to Palm Palms and noticed a shop full of one of my favorite brands...Lula B! I walked up to the door and pulled on it and to my chagrin, it had just closed. It was a gorgeous store and I was so disappointed as I knew I could not return the following day. Just as I turned to leave, this friendly gentleman I later learned was the owner's son Chris came and unlocked the door. He noticed I was wearing a Lula B and wanted to invite me back in the morning. Before I knew it, he was letting his staff go home and agreed to let me look around with my friend while he closed up the register for the night. They had a FANTASTIC sale going on and let's just say I hit the jackpot. I wanted to make it worth his while to let me in after hours. They also had great accessories. I love Tagua jewelry and was able to find some perfect pieces to compliment my outfits. I also found my mother two blouses with mandarin collars which are her favorite just in time for mother's day. As it turns out, Chris also has 3 stores of his own in Brevard, NC, home of the white squirrel which is one of my favorite places to enjoy the fall foliage. It turned out that we had so much in common and it was a serendipitous evening. I left smiling from ear to ear feeling I had received outstanding customer service. That's the mark of a true businessman. Even though it was late, he took the time to allow me to shop and it was a great experience for both of us. Thank you Chris and Jen for running such a beautiful store. Our prayers are that you will make up tenfold for your losses in the hurricanes. You certainly deserve it. This is one of my (& my sister's) favorite boutiques to visit when I vacation in FL. Their selection ofwomen's apparel is amazingly beautiful. They have everything from dresses, tops, jackets, shorts, and skorts to slacks and more!! I think their sizes run from XS to 1X. I usually drop a "chunk of change" every year because I love everything! Unfortunately, when I got home to MN, i thought one of the dresses was a little short for me. Yes, I did try it on 🤦‍♀️ so it was totally my mistake. I called the store, spoke with Chris & explained my dilemma. He was so helpful. They were able to find another item in the same fabric and he let me have it for their sale price. He put it in the mail the same day. I offered to pay for shipping but he said they would take care of the shipping cost. Sooooo nice of them! If you are ever in the area, look them up. You will fall in love with that boutique...

I've never been treated so poorly by a customer service rep before. Idk who the little old lady was that was working between 12 and 1pm and I can't repeat what she said to me here as I was leaving without trying on the clothes I left at the counter but I can tell you she was trying to threaten me by telling me her daughter is an attorney. I was able to find a dress I really liked with a return policy that's more acceptable but I will never spend money in this store again. The store I went to was Johns Pass Trading company and they treated me w a lot more dignity. I'm not surprised in your response. I hope people can see the truth in my post.
