An extremely dirty, filthy apartment was provided to us by Mammoth Reservations Bureau for a 3 night stay. Yes we had requested an early check in, but ONLY if the rental unit was ready and available, and front desk staff confirmed that it was. In the unit, the countertops had a layer of grime, bathroom was disgustingly dirty, and debris was all over the carpet. Sheets, blankets, and pillows smelled of body odor. Initially I simply requested that housekeeping come again since it was possible the unit may have been overlooked. Housekeeping came when we stepped out to pick up some groceries, but did not really clean the unit. I contacted the front desk and asked to speak with the manager, but the employees repeatedly lied about the availability and whereabouts of the managers (Cole and Christina). After getting the runaround from employees over the phone, we decided to show up in person. The employee that "helped" us did not care in the least about the issue, refused to provide alternative accommodations, and refused to refund the unused portion of our stay, and refused to let us speak with someone else. She was, to no surprise, pathetically rude and incompetent to say the least. It became clear this was a repeat issue for them and they had become careless towards these complaints. *We were deceived about this rental from the start. We thought we were booking a unit through VRBO, but when we arrived and proceeded to pick up the keys, we discovered Mammoth Reservations Bureau was deceptively using the VRBO website (Vacation Rentals By OWNERS) to falsely advertise and rent out their dirty accommodations. Please be aware of their dishonest practices.

Booked through Orbitz but Mammoth Reservation Burea did not enter the booking into their own system. They could not find it when we reached there for check-in. We were told that the reservation email came after-hours and hence wasn't entered (seriously?). 2. The place was not ready due to above. We were made to wait so that it can be cleaned without even an apology. 3. We were handed a key so that we can enter upon phone-call confirmation by the management that the place is ready. The key did not work cause they gave us a patio closet key and not the main entry key. Annoying we called the emergency contact and she had to come by to hand over the right keys. 4. The place is run by a bunch of kids, literally- who had no clue of running a service or had any authority to make decisions. 5. There was no internet in the place. Orbitz incorrectly advertises that "Wifi is included". 6. There was no coffee in the place. All other supplies n condiments were available. When I called to ask I was told that I should bring my own coffee. 7. There was a fish hook in the bathroom floor mat which poked my husband. 8. We booked 2 king beds and a sofa bed.    Read moreWe booked a stay through VRBO that used Mammoth Reservations Bureau. The unit was the dirtiest place we've ever stayed and clearly wasn't cleaned well. They just vacuum the main walkways of the floors, clean the toilets, showers, and sink. They don't move furniture to vacuum (even the coffee table), they don't wipe down extra surfaces (top of the mirrors/shelves/etc.). We had a cockroach in our room, dust all over the place, a dried tomato on the kitchen floor, dirty sheets on the bed in one of the bedrooms, dirty sheets they forgot to take out of the room when cleaning, pills and contact lens cleaner packets on the floor, and a mason jar of a yellow liquid in the kitchen.
To make matters worse, the second bathroom in our unit had a leak that forced our group of 7 to 1 bathroom because the maintenance crew told us to stop using the second one due to the leak. The management didn't give us an option to move units.
This was weeks ago and we've left so many messages for a manager to call us back that the rest of the staff knows our name and unit number and we STILL haven't heard from a manager.
