I visited Ding Tea McDonough's location Sunday morning, Nov. 24th. My order was a Taro milk tea with black tapioca pearls, lychee and mango popping boba. I did not get far into my drink, as you can see from the photos provided, before what appears to be a chunk of a sponge with pieces of the coarse scrubbing pad attached. The sponge was roughly the size of the pearls themselves from what I could tell while it was in my mouth. I really used to love this location. The drinks are very good, the people are generally always nice. They make mistakes from time to time, service can be ungodly slow, but the drinks are good. I've had issues in the past where their cakes and pastries were moldy. The store used to smell questionably moldy and I just reserved myself to only getting drinks. As if mold was not already a health concern, I rather not consume cleaning products too. Your team should really be cautious and check their equipment after cleaning it or have poor condition cleaning products replaced. The lack of quality control here is lazy and concerning. This experience was vile and if it wasn't for the fact I spit the evidence back up this could've taken a different turn. Someone could really get sick from something like this.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Ordered a strawberry matcha, told the lady I don’t like it sweet but she filled the cup with half of strawberry syrup. Got the beverage and it literally turned white (matcha is supposed to be green), didn’t taste like matcha at all just milk and syrup. I asked the lady if she could remake it for me with less strawberry or no strawberry syrup at all. She said yes and then told me I had to pay again for it ($7). I asked if she could just remake it considering I didn’t leave the store (just took two sips) & especially since I told her in the beginning I wanted less sweetener/syrup but she didn’t listen. She said no she wouldn’t remake it, I asked if there was a manger or someone else I. Old speak to she told me no. I didn’t even drink it… an hour later after hving it in the fridge it completely separated and looked like this… idk what is in this “matcha” but I will never order again. Horrible drink horrible customer service (first photo is when I got the drink, second is after being in the fridge)

Unfortunate experience at one of my favorite boba spots. The customer service was subpar and the employees seem to be having a great time with no care for cleanliness or their guests! Seems like it’s gone downhill since my last visit. They don’t ask for sugar level at all for latte’s because they don’t come with sugar! A surprising change that both workers confirmed, but the menu states the process of ordering an drink and not once did I get asked my ice level or sugar level since i had to give my own sugar level. After I told the employee about my drink she proceeded to tell me the new information then just dump sugar in my drink and my girlfriends. No blending, mixing, and just plain said we have straws over here so you can mix it in. Every single time I’ve come (5-6x) I’ve gotten a latte and was asked sugar and ice levels. Seems things change, again, unfortunate. Also, music seems to be blasted very loud every time when me and my girlfriend laugh. Won’t catch me here again :)

Not often does one find a special place, this is that place of all the places I've been to. Maybe it was the time of day or day of the week, but my experience was one to remember and will have me returning. It is a small little place, a quiet place with great ambiance. The beautiful young lady that took our order was a pleasure to talk to. Attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and quite friendly. As we ordered our fare, she walked us through the many options available, made suggestions and was very polite. I wanted the chicken and waffles, but apparently a part currently wasn't available at the time. No problem as they have other offerings that fit the bill. We placed our order and paid when I noticed something I hadn't had in years, lychee tea. I love lychee tea with lychee boba and they had this! For me, this is a must have if available. While we waited for our food I noticed various games and things to entertain yourself with as you wait. Very nice of them to provide these things. When our for was ready a very adorable young lady handed me the order. My guess is she prepared our food. Delicious barely covers what we experienced while eating. You could taste the love that was used to prepare it. Gave a very warm feeling, like eating your mother's home cooking. But this was far from that. The chicken was excellent and the bubble waffles were devine. My wife had the fish balls and tofu sandwich and could not stop taking about how much she enjoyed every bite. My lychee tea was on point and exactly how I wanted it. Not to sweet and just the right amount of ice. Bravo Ding Tea, ignore the negative comments and continue doing what you do how you do it. You have win me over as a fan and I will return without a doubt. If I could give more stars I...

Been here numerous times, but today’s experience will make you forget about all of the great visits. We ordered our drinks, 6 of them, which is more than a couple get that but for a place that is about making drinks it definitely shouldn’t shut down the process. They seemed to be having issues with food orders as we were informed that they weren’t taking food order when we got up to the kiosk and maybe that has something to do with it, who knows. We ordered our drinks and she told us it would be 15-20 mins, ok. Forty minutes later and after at least 5-6 transactions that took place after ours, including at least 2 with multiple drinks, were served with no acknowledgment of our wait time. Finally just had to cut my losses and ask for a refund, which was the quickest thing they handled while we were there. No offer of apology for making me waste an hour there with nothing to show for it, in fact everyone seemed to be finding any reason they could to be hiding in the back behind the curtain. I have a pretty high threshold for service at any food establishment, and am pretty understanding, which is why I gave them 40 minutes, but even I have my limits and with no communication and the continued insistence to serve people who ordered 20 minutes after me is beyond my limit apparently. I’m sure we may give them another try, but definitely not...
