It's a beautiful store with great products! However, when I was in today with my girlfriend, and we were shopping for a gift for her friend, we had quite the experience. We were browsing in the store but felt like we were being watched by the clerk, especially as she greeted the older pair who walked in and not us. I picked up a product that I was hoping to purchase. I opened the exterior packaging carefully, as it was unsealed and could be opened without damaging the product. I did so to view the product, as I was unsure of exactly how it looked. I thought the product was lovely and did not open the interior plastic packaging. The cashier who saw me open the product asked me to close the product, which was an entirely reasonable request. However, the cashier also said, āCustomers don't like to buy things that are opened,ā quite rudely. I was planning on purchasing the product after seeing it, but the rudeness of the comment caused me to close and replace it. My girlfriend and I felt disrespected, so we bought the two items she was holding and left. I was pretty disappointed by the rudeness of the store employee as I previously enjoyed browsing the store and was planning on purchasing the product. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be back due to this, which I regret as the store inventory is quite wonderful! I do not think this represents the business as a whole but is quite disappointing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely rude person behind the counter,, yelled at me "NO PICTURES" when I took my phone out to snap a pic and send it to my daughter (I just wanted to know if she'd like it cause I planned to purchase several of that varietyfor her.) Wow. I decided to search for the item on Amazon (I could easily see the mfr info on the tag- it was NOT an local artist piece- versus buying it from that store. I saw several other things I would have purchased but opted to leave without buying anything, as she left such a bad impression. Interestingly enough, she didn't greet us as we came in the store but was very quick to chastize me for taking my phone out. Such a cute store but the attitude was so off putting, I'd recommend spending your money at one of the other stores with lovely warm welcoming people ready to help that surround it. Oodles was the only place in McMinnville that I can't recommend, the rest of the town was fabulous! (Edited to add: I see that a gentleman posted 16 pictures in his review from 6 months ago. So is it only women who can't take pictures? I see from other reviews, other women have had the same or similar experience I had. Hm. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI canāt give zero stars so Iāll give it a one star review. Donāt get me wrong, itās a super cute store. I absolutely loved the vibe of the store and love supporting local businesses, but the lady who was working at the time was super rude to me and a few other customers who were there. I went to take a little picture of something to see if a friend of mine would like it and the lady rudely yelled at me to delete the picture, and later, I ended up having a slight panic attack from the altercation. I can understand where she was coming from with not wanting pictures to be taken in the store, but the way she handled it could have definitely been better. I would suggest maybe announcing that there is strictly a no picture policy in the store as well as a sign in the window for future references. Definitely not the way that she handled it which was yelling at me to delete any and all pictures that were taken. I will say you definitely lost quite a few customers today as there was a group of people who I am traveling with who no longer wanted to support a business that would treat their...
