At first I was really excited to go in and see what they had. You walk in and it's almost "hoarder like" seeing everything stacked and tossed around covered in dust and in pretty banged up condition. Some things were great price for what it was and others I was left thinking how I could get this on eBay for the same price. There's also almost no price tags on anything so you have to rummage through a stack of random junk in absolute silence (there was no music on at least when I was in there ), surrounded by stuff. I LOVE supporting small and local businesses but almost EVERYTHING was outrageously priced. Spent over 25$ on 6 CDs and a vinyl and come to find one of the CDs is scratched to hell and back and it was 5$ but technically he did 5 for 20 and I assumed it was usable because it was 5$ and he had it closed up. Half of its unplayable. Definitely will pop in every now and then simply because of the sheer selection, but it's not worth the digging or asking the price for...
Read moreThis store is a lot of fun to browse because there is so much there that will bring back memories for you (even if you are too young to have those memories, it still gives an interesting glimpse into the past.) There is a large variety of merchandise, predominantly curiosities and collectibles from the 1980s and earlier. There is far too much variety to list, but movie posters, vinyl records and 8-tracks, books, and toys of various kinds (a plush California Raisin was a standout), to name just a few. There is also a large amount of framed artwork, including etchings and paintings. I found several hard-to-find puzzles, from the 1950s to the 1980s, and the prices were very fair. Lots of the stuff is very unlikely to be found in any other store in the area, and even on the internet a lot of it is probably hard to find.
This store is located in a somewhat desolate (other than the Bass Pro) shopping center, almost invisible from the street. But it is well worth...
Read moreWhat a cool shop! It's "groovy man". Wait, that is more from the 60's. Anyway, you walk in and you get transported back to a different time and you will love it. So many great original vinyl records and objects. The owner is super knowledgeable and helpful. You can find art and furniture from Europe and America. It's not a true antique store but it is a time machine and you will enjoy the ride. Unfortunately, shops like this from the 70's were also "head shops", and sadly this is not😟. I just have to remember where it is and the culture of the city - boring... However, that should not keep you from...
