Back in October, this jeweler ran a contest on TikTok to celebrate reaching 100k followers. The premise was simple: submit a new slogan for the brand, and the top 3 most liked comments would win a share of $10,000.

My slogan was among the top 3 with the most likes—until my account was suddenly blocked and my comment deleted. Since then, there’s been zero communication, and it’s clear they had no intention of honoring their promise.

If a business can’t follow through on something as public and straightforward as a social media contest, it raises serious concerns about their honesty overall. My advice: if you’re going to spend money on a watch or jewelry, go through an Authorized Dealer. If they’re willing to mislead over a giveaway, what else might they be dishonest about?

I’m extremely disappointed with how this promotion has been handled. Instead of addressing concerns honestly, it seems more misinformation has been added. I suggest you review your original TikTok video, where the contest rules were clearly outlined, at no point was there any mention of entries via other platforms like Instagram.

This lack of transparency feels deceptive, and if this isn’t resolved appropriately, my next step will be to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I’m tired of seeing TikTok jewelers take advantage of people with misleading promotions.
