Today I made a purchase at Home Goods Midtown, paid, and was handed a bag with my items. However, when I got home, I realized that a set of Christmas towels I intended to gift my daughter was missing. I immediately called the store, and after several questions, they confirmed the towels were still there. No apology, no empathy—just a matter-of-fact statement that the towels were left behind.
I live in Aventura, 45 minutes away, so I asked if they could mail them to me. Their response was a blunt NO. I asked for a refund, and once again, a firm NO. They offered me no options, despite the fact that the cashier failed to hand me the bag. I was told I have 30 days to pick up the towels myself.
This was a terrible experience with absolutely no customer service. Not only do they lack accountability, but also empathy. I will not shop at this store again, nor would I recommend...

When I attempted to return the product, the cashier (Troyanne) would only offer me store credit because I didn't have the receipt. I made a bit of a stink because it wasn't really fair that they wouldn't give my money back due to a problem with the merchandise. I, admittedly, was a bit difficult but she was consistently polite and understanding with me. She called over her manager (Dexter) and I gave him a hard time as well. Working together, Dexter and Troyanne came up with a solution that left me extremely happy and I could not be more grateful to them or their excellent customer service. Read moreI really feel very bad leaving this bad review for this store which I loved since day one! All my apartment is full of items I bought in this store and specifically on this location! Spending hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars and never ever had any issues! Until tonight! I always do same thing, since I buy a lot and they don’t allow you to take the shopping cart with you, I politely ask them (employees) to watch my bags while I get my car. Never had any problems, but today I realized when I got home happy to unpacked my stuff, a lot of items were missing.
