Unethical and dishonest management. Three weeks ago I booked a nice-looking property listed by this company on VRBO (my first time using VRBO) for myself and a friend, but we are not getting to experience it. Rather, we are now out our time, opportunity, and the ultimately money it will cost us to book a more expensive listing at this later date, since the host abruptly canceled our rental under false pretenses. The host, a partner from this company, both texted and emailed me on a Sunday afternoon instructing me to cancel my reservation because the “property is sold.” She even reminded me to “cancel it as soon as possible to avoid any additional charges.” This pressure for me to cancel quickly or get charged scenario didn’t feel right, so I contacted VRBO customer support and confirmed that it was indeed NOT my responsibility to cancel. Given the host was the one wanting to cancel, she was supposed to do it. Apparently, since she would be penalized (ranking and a possible fee) for canceling on us she tried to make me do it first. After I reported this, the VBRO agent tried to contact her. She did not answer. I filed a case. The next day I received my money back in full but the host had cancelled with the reason documented as “MINUMUM-AGE-REQUIREMENT,” which was a lie as we are in our fifties and sixties. Again, she had written to me that the place was sold. Sold or not, there was apparently still benefit to her to put the blame for the cancellation back on us. I wonder what the real story is. Again, dishonest...

I had an incredible experience staying at the best and most amazing apartments. Everything about my stay was fantastic. The location was perfect, surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and luxury shops. It was also conveniently close to grocery stores. The view from my apartment window was breathtaking.
