Raccoon Coffee & Kitchen — Restaurant in Miami

A cool looking spot on Bickel Bay. Part of a series of food trucks in this area. First of all the service was not good. The order taker was not friendly if borderline rude. It seemed like I was a bother. She was also rude to black woman in front of me and rolled her eyes when that customer left. YMMV but maybe they like dark skin people. Not saying they were racist but there was a difference how certain people greeted and treated .

About the food. I ordered grilled chicken Caesar and. Old brew. It was $26, for brickell the price was okay. Salad was small and nothing special. Which I expected for a food trucks. Loaded with croutons, lettuce was regular, Caesar dressing was ok. Chicken dry and small. It was edible after a 4 mile walk. The cold brew was just ok. Can’t put my finger on it. It’s drinkable. I think how I was treated affected my taste buds.

The service I rate it a 1 star. Rude order taker. Cook through food on counter. No hello and no thank you.

The atmosphere is cool. Outdoor seating. Good menu selection of healthy food. Dog friendly as they have water bowls. Plenty of tables with shade on the water.

I would recommend other places as there are better options on food quality and drinks especially for the price. The service sucks. YMMV maybe the can fix that or replace the woman dealing with people. I’ll never go back. Took nice...

I went back the following day to see if they will provide the service I was looking for and they did. I’m changing my reviews. I’m pretty fair when it comes to stuff like this. The Christmas songs and spirit was pleasant this morning. This is my second time back since my lukewarm coffee experience. They are great and highly recommend them.

I had to leave to Rosetta. The two working there today gave me a lukewarm coffee when I asked for an extra hot latte with almond milk coffee. I told them I’d be happy with putting it in a microwave to reheat after I tasted it. They couldn’t do that, but they didn’t even offer to make me another cup. Wow! I had to leave it there with them and leave. I told them I’ll try again tomorrow. I need a quality cup and better service. But again, I’ll give another shot since they had a line of people. But still shouldn’t at least offered to make me another one. . 🙃🙏🏼 But I do have to add, they offered to heat up extra milk to make it hot. 🙃 I would like to know who’s training them. I needed my morning fix. Oh well… off the Rosetta...

Today was my second visit to Raccon, and I must say it’s truly a magical place. Kudos for the decor and attention to detail, which clearly reflects the touch of someone who loves nature and well-being.

However, during both of my visits, I was only able to purchase a bottle of water due to the poor customer service. The first time, one of the cashiers had difficulty with English, and the second time, the cashier I encountered was unprofessional. She was rude, unwelcoming, holding her personal phone in hand, and eating while serving me.

I hope this review helps improve the selection of staff, as I believe that politeness and charisma are key to making customers happy and driving purchases.
