It appears many of the reviews were written when the building was delivered, though not yet completed. Here is a current review with the building at 95%.
This building is stunningly beautiful and expertly managed. My partner and I have lived at Missoni Baia for one month and are continually reminded of the care and attention to detail of the welcoming staff.
We made a major move from the north to south and spent months researching and touring and there is no other building like Missoni Baia. The in-building experience, paired with a legacy Missoni branded environment, with top-notch full-service building staff.
Views are incredible and unobstructed by design. Units are well-built, no disruptions from neighbors, stellar fixtures, bi-directional natural light (our unit has sunrise and sunset views). Missoni branded decors and interiors are iconic and plenty, it feels like home. Every space has a theme and unique feel. Amenities are continually checked throughout the day for a consistently pleasant experience - full service. Little touches throughout the building like gorgeous floral arrangements changed weekly, fresh roses in all restrooms, chilled essential oils in the sauna, fresh fruit in the gym, etc. Weekly in-building events are well-thought out and a great way to engage with other residents. (Friday Happy Hours, Holiday Soirees, Fitness Classes, Catered Film Festivals in the media room, Tennis Tournaments, Daily Morning Wake-up Coffee/Tea/Treats Spread, etc). Building management partners with local businesses for curated events. Neighborhood is quiet, safe, and developing every day Design District, Midtown, and Wynwood a 5 minute drive or 10-20 minute walk away. MIA 15 minutes, Miami Beach 15 minutes, Downtown 15 minutes. Unlike other surrounding areas, the building location isn't transient/loud Family friendly and pet friendly with community rules to ensure not a distraction to other residents. The level of expectation and quality of the building is reflected in the residents...
Read moreCame here to view a $1.25M unit and we were appalled at how disgusting the building is. For being branded a “Missoni” building it is shocking how low quality and dirty and dingy the entire property is. Bare walls, cheap drywall, cheap can lights, this is a super low end contractor grade building. We were literally in shock, I’d say it’s the lowest quality building I’ve ever walked into in all of Miami. We agreed we wouldn’t buy the unit if it was $600K let alone $1.25M. The streets approaching the building are run down, multi unit apartments. I have no idea how Missoni licensed their name for this building. H&M could have done a better job with decor and interiors. Seriously it’s awful, I can’t say enough bad things about it. We told the realtor immediately, we don’t need to waste anymore of your time, this is not for us. There is no way someone with a 7 figure budget would be ok living here. I would have taken pictures but I didn’t want to insult the agent. The elevator bank, is also a “fire lobby” so think of a service corridor as your main elevator bank. If you live here, are you not embarrassed to have guests come over ? Don’t waste your time even looking. We left just perplexed at what we saw. I think the unit price should be cut In half and even then it would be a lot...
Read moreI worked construction on this building and one day while the lift was transporting way too much weight up and down a million times we felt the whole floor shift and we noticed fresh cracks in the ceiling. The cracks were pretty deep, I could fit a razor blade most of the way into them. The issue was handled by sending a guy to drywall compound over the cracks and make it look like there was no structural damage. Units 2401 2501 and 2601 will probably become one unit some day whilst squashing all the occupants. Talking about it and being generally angry at the other work crews for defecating in units got me fired from the job, probably because they didn't want me saying anything to anybody important. Probably because they're foreigners that couldn't be bothered to care about anything other than exploiting Americans for a paycheck. Everything in this building except the marble counters and the interior glass was done incorrectly. This whole thing will probably collapse into the bay, just another Surfside...
