The groom party was clearly misled into purchasing suits instead of renting them. Not a single person in the groom party thought that we were buying suits, including the groom.
They spelled the grooms name wrong and couldn't find the reservation until I gave them a phone number.
One of the groomsmen went to get measured and was told he had to pay $400 plus for the suit. At this point two of the other groomsmen already purchased their suits, so men's wearhouse essentially tricked us into buying suits that we'll probably never wear again.
While the kind gentleman was measuring me, the manager slapped a bunch of returns on the front counter and asked him to stop helping me and process somebody else's returns.
Now we're one month before the wedding and we're scrambling to get on the same page with this unorganized mess of a suit company.
I'll be going the black tux for anything else from now on.
The only redeeming factor is that the people there are friendly.
Reading some of the reviews they're highly incentivized to sell you the suits, and that kind of tomfoolery is not welcome in my world.
Update: We came back to make sure everything was squared up, but it turns out they never recorded my measurements and they never told me I needed a deposit to make it happen. luckily I took a picture of the document and they were shocked to see that I had it. likely some logistical barrier prevented him from entering into the system.
The very same person who put another customer ahead of me had name dropped a fellow employee at some attempt to throw him under the bus when he wasn't there to defend himself. I corrected him and told him that everybody has actually been quite polite. A store manager was hovering over us the whole time during this interaction, who did not introduce himself.
Update 2: went to pick up my rental and 1. the buttons on the rental shirt were smashed/cracked and 2. the shoes i ordered had a massive black scuff on them. they had a replacement shirt, and had a no replacement shoes in the same size. they refunded the shoe cost, 3. wrongly blamed the previous renter for the quality of their rental shoes, but we all know your quality control has problems if you're willing to take a rental back and put it into a plastic bag for other customers...
Another inconvenience, I have to come back in 2 days, (the eve of the wedding) to get...
Read moreDisappointed with service and goods. I can’t give any stars only warnings . !! Tuxedos for groomsmen for May 21st wedding . Groom picked out Tux style passed info to the groomsmen. All got measured in time. They went to pick up and try on Thursday 5/19. The Bestman shirt was way too small , his jacket and vest did not button comfortably. Mens wear house solution/reply - He was told it was a slim fit style nothing they could do. He’s not slim fit but they would’ve known that but the choice of tux the groom picked out . The father of the groom , his jacket did not button at all . Mens wear house solution/reply- they would order a new jacket but they wouldn’t have it in store until latest Saturday and hour before the wedding . And problem grew - the father of the groom never received a call or email but a groomsmen (his son with same name ) received a call saying his jacket was in and ready at 1030 by the time he relayed the message it was too late . The groomsmen told the caller he had his jacket (he did not know about his fathers tux problem ). So the father of the Groom had to try to hold his suit together for pics . Sad ! As I sat on Thursday waiting for the groom and his father all I kept hearing from mens wear house employees telling customers with order problems was -its prom and wedding season . Shame on you Mens Wear House for very bad customer service - measuring - not going thru a bride party list and calling the...
Read moreWent to get fitted for a dinner jacket, and was told it would be delivered to the store in about a week. I called after 10 days and was told there was no way to check the status of my order. I called again today and was told there is no way to track the order since I was not asked to pay before it shipped to the store. The manager called the only other location that may have the jacket in my size, and told me they had none available. I have been a customer here for well over 10 years, and the quality of service has declined alot since covid. I have bought multiple custom suits from this location and always had a great experience with fashion consultants who worked here in the past. Now, none of the employees are well dressed, and it feels like the corporate managers completely dismantled the structure that made this place a great experience. What happened to "Your gonna love the way you look, I guarantee it"? Now I can't even see my look to determine if I love it. The CEO needs to be fired and replaced by someone with an understanding of what people actually enjoyed about the store. I did rent a tux here for a wedding a few months ago and it was an good experience, but this jacket was for my wedding and it really bummed me out when they told me it was never...
