This review is about the curbside pickup and service, and not for the store itself. I ordered a few items and upon arrival at the parking lot, checked-in as instructed by DCSG.
The curbside pickup parking spots were filled. So I parked a couple of spots next to it. Get a call from the store where a lady says they cannot find me and I try to tell her I am a couple of spots away from their curbside pickup. She doesn’t bother to listen, it was like speaking to a radio. She kept saying they cannot find me and asked me pull up in front of the store. This is great mall, and there is traffic on the road in front of the store. Plus, it’s a fire lane. I reluctantly pull up in front of the store.
3-4 mins later, the lady on the phone walks out with an associate carrying my stuff, and it almost seemed like they wanted to throw stuff into my car soonest possible and dash. Couldn’t figure out why. There was a commotion around where to put the stuff, when I politely asked her if it’s ok to ask customers to pull up and wait at a spot that can hold up other traffic, and moreover marked as fire lane? She first looks at me like I am being ridiculous, then mutters “it’s fine” and walks away. At this point, my impression of DCSG took a steep fall, but I tel myself they must be having a busy day inside the store. And that what I am experiencing in terms of curbside pickup is a luxury in the times of covid, so I should not complain. I pull away, park at a nearby spot to check the contents. Sure enough, there’s stuff missing. So I go back again to the curbside pickup spot and call the store to tell them about the missing item. The associate who came to help this time around was definitely helpful, and had to get a supervisor involved too. But it seems DCSG had a glitch in their system when processing my order. So my options were to a) go either go away with the incomplete order, b) return the incomplete order and buy again from the store. For this, I had to go into the store. As I had driven 20 miles to get there, I decided to risk going into what I thought was a busy store to correct the stuff. When I go in, I see hardly 3-4 customers in the store (and no others waiting for curbside pickup either). While the associate cleaned up my order (15 minutes), I was left wondering as to why the first associate who helped me out had to be so rude? In these days, you are never sure if it’s just a bad day or a very poor attitude (including possible discrimination).
Suffice to say, I don’t think I NEED to shop at DCSG for the stuff I need, and probably...
Read moreThis is the worst place to buy bicycles. We bought a diomandback wild wood last year, and we had so many problems with it. On the day we bought it, we realized that the high screw on the derailleur was tight so it would not go on the smallest cog. They put a huge cog before the 6 speed cassette, and Shimano tourney doesn't have enough b screw tention to support that cog. We also had to fix a seat. Soon, I realized that the back brakes broke, so we replaced them, and less then a year after, the front brakes broke. In August I fell of the bicycle when I was going fast because the chain fell off the crank set. Luckily I had a good helmet. On that day I realized that the chain was loose. I could put the chance on the smallest crank and the smallest cog and there would be no tention on the p spring of the...
Read moreWent here again today. Not much has changed. The store is way understaffed. Couldn't find anyone to help me. When I did find a staff member, I asked him where the wristbands were. He sent me to the opposite side of the store where I found nothing. I continued to walk around looking and finally found them myself not far from where I first asked the staff member for help. The person at the checkout was completely apathetic too - until he asked me if I wanted a sports authority discount card. When I said "no thanks", his demeanor worsened and he seemed almost angry with me. He finished ringing me up and couldn't even be bothered to say thanks when handing me my receipt. The workers at this store desperately need some training in common courtesy, customer assistance, and general...
