As an employee of Cooper Hospital in Camden, I was very impressed with the Moorestown facility. Beautiful architecture, professional level of service and kindness from the providers and staff. Conveniently located at the Morristown mall with plenty of parking and easy access for major roads, including 295, route 73, route 38. Facility is brand new with many amenities. There are beautiful waiting areas from the main entrance all the way down the hall to the snack bar area. Amazing 20 foot wide screen viewing screens featuring video presentations of the local area such as the Camden aquarium and battleship NJ at the Camden Harbor. Comfortable and modern chairs and sofa style seating in front of these huge amazing screens. I’ve never seen anything like it. Beautiful to watch the video presentations in these areas. Felt like I was in a movie theater. Plenty of clean restrooms. Architecture there is stunning both visually and practical for its intended use. Cooper is partners with MD Anderson and definitely making a statement in this facility. There’s really nothing like it in the area. My personal experience there today was both A+ personally and Professionally . The appointment was exactly on time. No extended wait time. Easy check in as you arrive. Once I was in my exam room and answered a few questions by the technician my doctor was in the room within five minutes. The facility has many electrical outlets that are designed to plug your phone cord directly into with USB connections. Cooper has definitely put a lot of thought into the patient experience . Pleasingly quiet, peaceful and beautiful with professional and friendly people waiting to greet you at the front desk. Would definitely recommend Cooper...
Read moreThis review is specifically with regard to Dr. Amanda Henry -
Dr. Henry has been one of those otherworldly encounters I've had in life, where the universe matches you with the perfect candidate when you most need it, whether you realize it or not.
After not being to a primary doctor in over 8 years, I was experiencing ongoing, radiating leg pain, so I scheduled a new patient appointment at this location, since it had just opened and was local to me.
When I was paired with Dr. Henry, I was initially apprehensive because of my own judgments - "she's younger than me and won't understand, they're just giving me to a new doctor since I'm a new patient", etc.
And what a beautiful moment it was when I was proven wrong.
Dr. Henry has helped me navigate severe spinal stenosis, herniated discs, anxiety disorders, sicknesses of my spirit.
I've never, in my entire life, met a physician that listened to me the way she does. I've never, in my entire life, met a medical professional as caring and responsive as her. I am forever grateful to the universe for putting me in touch with Dr. Henry.
So, Dr. Henry, if you're reading this - you saved my life. Literally. I was dying a spiritual death when we met, and my family is now whole as a result of the universe putting us in one another's path.
I cannot recommend this doctor enough to anyone looking to change physicians, or needing a primary care physician.
And finally, she speaks Spanish too!
Thank you for...
Read moreI have never been so disappointed and disgusted with a healthcare provider in my life but somehow, Cooper invents ways to completely shatter all expectations. My consult was with Dr. Andrew Simon, whom by all accounts is probably a nice person but is equally a terrible Dr. I have never felt so low, that no matter what you say, it doesn't matter. He literally got up and walked out pretty much in the middle of me asking a question. Here's the kicker, after sitting in the room waiting for an actual answer pertaining to the partial tear in my thumb, Dr. Simon walks past my room and tells me I can leave because the visit has concluded. I informed him that in two visits, two sets of Xray's and an MRI nobody seemed to address the pain I've been in for the past 4 or so months. He informed me it wasn't his job, and he would refer me to a pain management specialist. The only bright spot of this dreadful visit was the young lady at checkout and Mr. Moffett, the Ambulatory Manager. He allowed me to express my concerns and frustrations, and those two individuals are the only positive thing going for Cooper and the only reason for the 1-star review. This is why I stay in the Virtua network. If I was hurt and it was life or death and Cooper was the only hospital I could go to, I'd take my chances with a band aid and Tylenol because that's all their good for. I was treated like half a person today and nobody deserves...
