I have shopped at this particular location for several years. A couple of nights ago, my husband and I went and picked up a few things for my our costumes, one of the items being black and orange suspenders. When we returned home my husband took the plastic wrap off of the suspenders, and simply touched one of the metal clasps and it popped off. We read our receipt carefully, understanding that we could do an exchange being that it was after Oct. 19th. After all, all we wanted was the same suspenders as they completed his costume for our party that we were attending. When we returned, they didn't have the same design, but they had black and Orange suspenders in the same section for the same exact price with a different design. My husband grabbed a pair and we took them to the front and presented our receipt along with the damaged item and new one. At first, the cashier said "yes, we can get this exchanged, no problem." And then, all of a sudden he disappeared, and I found him wandering around the store on his cell phone talking to his manager, all the while my husband has been standing at the register waiting patiently. Finally, the cashier comes back and tells us they will not do the exchange because the plastic wrap has been removed and they have to have a sku number. He also said they also can't honor the exchange because they don't know if WE damaged the product! This is a $10.00 pair of halloween suspenders and you mean to tell me you are going to punish your customer's for your cheaply made product and not do a simple exchange? It had been 1 day since we purchased the item and it hadn't even come off of the cardboard packaging! I had my receipt, I wasn't asking for money back, I wasn't asking for them to give me an item worth more in value. I was shocked.    Read moreI was shopping yesterday the 9th of October to look at some costumes with my girlfriend and her family. When we walked in every thing was fine, but like 15 minutes in to shopping my girlfriends brother that is just 10 years old got accused of shop lifting. He is just 10 years old and has never stolen anything before. The way the employees approached him was very unprofessional and made him and the people I was with very uncomfortable The employees never went up to me or my girlfriend we were responsible for the kids at that moment. First they brought him to the side and was talking to him asking him if he has seen a mask. He said yes and brought them to the mask he was looking at that he put on a bottom row because he couldnât reach where he grabbed it from. So he gave the mask to one of the employees and I thought it was over with. When we were exiting the store we did not purchase anything because we were unsatisfied with the costumes. We got stopped by 3 more employees including the manger of the store and they asked if we still had the mask. I said no I saw him give it to the employee. We then left the store and got back home to tell the kids parents what had happened. We told them and they knew that was not okay. So they went back to the store and asked for the manager. The manger told the employees that were involved in the situation to hide. The manger was also defending them saying that the 10 year old boy that knows not to steal stole a mask. I just think that that was very unprofessional and the employees and manger should be punished for making us uncomfortable and accusing a 10 year old of shoplifting without coming up to the adults to explain...
   Read moreThe manager accused me of stealing with the basis of âwe had been there for a long time.â I went yesterday and settled on buying a costume, even though I originally had my eye on a different one (they didnât have my size and I didnât want to be stuck with nothing). I went back to a different store today as today is the last day to exchange. Tried on a few different costumes over my clothes as I wanted to make sure I got the best one for my money since theyâre so expensive, but ended up keeping the one I bought originally. I even told the worker they can watch me change the entire time if they wanted to. Regardless, the entire time the manager made me feel so uncomfortable and at check out he went through my entire bag. I know I didnât do anything wrong but he kept making me feel like I did.
