Listen to the recent 1 star reviews. Do NOT spend your money here. The quality of the food has severely gone downhill during the past year. Have been here many times during the past few years- never disappointed UNTIL this week. I was just here earlier in the year- don’t know what happened (food chain supply issues, owner/staff not caring, business possibly closing down- who knows). Wish I read the reviews before going. Never going back.
Food: So mad I wasted $60 here to get food. I usually love the rotisserie chicken. It was bland, and very dry as if they left it sitting after cooking for too long. The creamed spinach had no flavor. The Mac and cheese was very salty and inedible. You are better off buying Kraft Mac and cheese and I don’t even like Kraft.
The cornbread was not even cornbread. It was rubbery, overcooked, cold spongy bread. Don’t know what I bought but it was not cornbread. You’re better off going to Acme for the chicken and cornbread or Walmart. The BLT fried chicken sandwich was pitiful (slightly undercooked chicken, soggy breading exterior, no mayo or any condiment and no bacon either. They also had nothing but BBQ sauce and ranch available. I took a couple of bites and trashed the rest of the sandwich. You’re better off going to Popeyes, KFC, Chick-fil-A, Walmart, shoprite. You would find better sandwiches at a school’s cafeteria. Anywhere else, period.
Appearance: Should’ve just left after I saw how the food counter/operation was. There are usually chickens cooking in the ovens in the back- there were none. The sides looked sad and scarce. There were zero desserts out except for brownies (it was stocked last time I bought food). Half of the drinks in the soda machine were “sold out” same goes for the teas. There were only 3 utensils left out for people to grab. The seating area looked like a storage room.
I would give 0/5...
Read moreI have not had Boston Market in roughly 4-5 years. Let’s start off by saying if you walk into a restaurant and there’s only 1 visible employee and no customers…that should speak volumes. The young man behind the counter was pretty nice however this review isn’t about him. Boston Market has COMPLETELY fallen off. They were my favorite for their homemade mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. Today…what I got, my 11 year old niece could’ve made. The mashed potatoes…instant. There was no chicken gravy so I said I’d try the “beef” not only was it from a package it was very obvious that it was not properly cooked and they did not add the proper amount of water or beef stock because it was extremely salty, watery, powdery tasting. The “Mac and cheese “ unfortunately it’s on the same level as the boxed Kraft version that I used to eat as a kid but with more salt which is scary. The young man said they didn’t have the top crust for the pot pies so that wasn’t available neither was the mixed veggies and creamed spinach. There were no chickens in the rotisserie ovens. Not even the scent of food was in the building. I will say the 2 stars were because of the young man and the chicken was decent but Boston Market either close the doors or get your act together because this is nothing like the food I used to love. BM had the closest food to home cooked and that’s what I used to appreciate. Not this overly salty instant food that I could’ve made at home. If a manager was present I would’ve had some...
Read moreI have gone there in person twice now around 5-6 pm and both times there was little food or employees to be found. When I walked in, the “buffet” of sides consisted of 3 potato slices and a piece of cauliflower. When I tried to order turkey the employee said they were out of it. I asked what they did have- he pointed to the 3 potato slices and piece of cauliflower and said “this is it”
Hate to bash any employee in the food industry, being a former waitress myself, but the employees are children who appear apathetically stoned. That’s fine and all- but there is not a crumb of service to be found in that entire building.
Boston market aka “Rotisserie Roast” close whenever they feel like it. The food may or may not be available at any given time depending on who is working that day and their mood.
Boston market in maple shade provides false advertising, extremely unprofessional employees and inadequate food options.
This is an absolute joke. And really sucks esp when you already order on DoorDash come to find out 30 min later that the order was canceled for no reason. This experience with DD has happened 3 times now. I kept trying to give them the benefit of doubt...
