Rooftop Day Spa at Archer Hotel — Local services in Napa

Horrible experience as the spa is poorly run, has the ambience of a dental office and is waaaay overpriced for what we got. I went for Mother’s Day with my daughter and for both of us it was almost $700 for Lavender Head to Toe treatments. We were made to wait outside in a windy corridor for entry into the spa, delaying the start of our treatments, and again when trying to pay, as the receptionist took a call instead of helping us, even though we had been waiting almost 10 minutes to check out. The “locker room” has several lockers but no bench to sit on while dressing, only one toilet and one shower, and worst of all ONE sink with barely any counter space and poor lighting. For the lack of luxury and amenities it is shocking how much we paid. I did not receive anything remotely relaxing in terms of the (very aggressive!) prolonged scrub, and didn’t really have anything resembling the promised scalp/foot treatment which were supposed to be part of it. The massage was not tailored to my requested areas, rather my masseuse spent much of the time digging painfully into the muscles in my butt and legs. The customary efforts toward preserving modesty were not employed and all doors swing wide open into the hall while you’re in varying states of undress. Today was my mom’s birthday. It was myself, my two sisters and my mom. From the moment we arrived at the Rooftop Spa in Napa, Ca. we were Immediately greeted with kindness and warmth. It was genuine professionalism and not the kind I’ve seen so many times with the fake smiles. The Quality of service was five star treatment, we were shown to our changing room, everything was explained, and all of our questions answered. We didn’t have a long wait, all of our massage therapists were kind, and as for my massage the pressure was perfect. I will never forget this day, When you finish your massage you have the option to go sit in the pool, enjoy the view, the breeze, and the sun until you’re ready to leave.
