[solidcore] Long Island City — Local services in New York

As a local Personal Trainer I was excited for solidcore to open. I am a big advocate for my clients to add Pilates to their routine, as well as mine. Solidcore is a great workout and difficult! Especially with a good instructor like Tara.

Unfortunately the customer service of this company is lackluster at best. I hate that companies do not have a direct phone number to contact. This seems to me as very cheap and is very frustrating. If you contact them via email they respond within 3-5 business days which is wild considering you need 30 days notice to cancel or they add on a month. They also do not allow for sessions to roll over which seems like they are using a model that seems like a scam/money grab.

Another thing that is unpleasant is in my classes I feel like the instructor singles me out as the only male in the class, with one in particular over emphasizing cues.

I will most likely be back for certain teacher’s classes but will never purchase a package with this...

I went to my class yesterday and got there at the start of the class. There were no machines available and only the instructor was there. The instructor didn’t know what to do and told me she would credit back the class but never did. I don’t understand how they can overbook the class when there’s only a certain number of machines. This doesn’t happen with any other studio

I tried calling the location today and there’s no way to get in contact with the studio unless you go in person and literally wait till the class is over to see...

I had to come back and change this review. I decided to give LIC Solidcore another shot and I don’t regret it! Been back multiple times since just didn’t know how to update my review lol. I love the team here now. Everyone makes you feel welcomed. (The guy from my first review seems to be gone) Juan is a sweetheart always greets me by name when I walk in.
