Updated review : This nightmare started in the first week of June- Management is now letting us get out of the lease with a 2 week notice after a recent 2 back to back sewage floods. This would have been the 5th time it flooded. We are struggling trying to meet the increased rents in the area, as well as the added stress and cost of moving and searching for a new apartment not withstanding the out of pocket costs of replacing products, materials and hotel stays every time this happened.Be wary about taking an apartment in the 3rd floor. Multiple apartments are effected and are having the same issues.
Updated review:
The response from management is not at par with the expectations for a luxury apartment. Both my daughters work at home and the three times this happened has disrupted work and created a lot of anxiety.
When solid sewage back flowed into our bathrooms from other apartments last month, we asked for a full reimbursement of expenses; however, we didn't have the time or energy to pursue a reimbursement for hotel or products lost to the extent we are now. We were reimbursed $150 last time and we let it go. We spent well over that, hired our own cleaners for $400 and replaced all products and stayed in a hotel until the cleaning was completed.
The situation repeated within a month and we believe that you didn't engage professional third party services to monitor and prevent the current situation from happening. We again paid out of pocket for a hotel stay, deep cleaning, and replaced hair and body products that were sitting in solid sewage in the shower.
At this point, management says they have sanitized the bathroom bottles and we should be able to use them. Seriously, would you? Imagine retailers salvaging bottles of products from sewage overflow and trying to restock their shelves? When we refused, they offered $75 in compensation even less than last time. The management is aware of the actual cost of the products and also is aware that this is the second time we have had to replace the products.
In addition, expecting two young ladies to go to random apartment to use the bathrooms instead of compensating for a hotel stay is again confounding.
To add to the angst, as per management, this is still an open situation and could recur. We would expect that management will take adequate steps to monitor frequently so that they can figure out how to prevent this from happening again.

It happened again today!!! Solid Sewage is flooding bathrooms again. Multiple apartments in our floor are affected as before. The flooding is not because of anything we did. The sewage is back flowing even though they didn’t use the bathrooms yet this morning. It’s a repeat of last time.
My daughters have been living here for over a year. This is the second time within two months that sewage has over flown into both bathrooms. Last time we had to replace all the products that my daughters had in their bathrooms and shower curtains and mats etc and they had to stay in a hotel for 2 nights. The plumbing crews that were sent did not get it right initially and they had to send crews multiple times to fix the sewage flooding issue. After the leak was fixed they sent a cleaning crew that did not deep clean. We had to again spend our own money to deep clean the affected areas. Ultimately a stressful and costly experience. Management did not compensate for any of...
Read moreThese photos show the apartment’s condition on move-in day. We discovered the grease on the stove a month later after noticing roaches in the kitchen. While management provided two days of rent credit for the initial inconvenience, we faced multiple issues, including a broken washer, a barely functioning toilet, a faulty heater, and a damaged dishwasher door along with other small issues. I had to work with maintenance for five consecutive weeks during my work hours to resolve these problems.
The building itself needs significant attention from maintenance, including proper pest control and repairing the hallway wallpaper, which has been promised for months.
Every doorman here is very nice and helpful, maintenance is very nice too but seem not to care and lack of professionalism. Great location of...
Read moreI miss this place!!! I lived here for about a year with my roommates and I absolutely loved it. I much prefer the vibe in Williamsburg over Chelsea. The location was very convenient. It’s right near the east river ferry which I used often to get to and from my job in Midtown. Having a Trader Joe’s right across the street was a godsend!! The apartment was cute, had decent finishings and there was plenty of sunlight for my plants. There are nice amenities such as a gym which I should have used more often and a roof deck which was fabulous. I enjoyed plenty of summer nights on the roof having cocktails with my friends. Building staff had a pleasant demeanor and were always attentive. Had a minor issue with our sink while we were there but Johnny the maintenance man responded quickly. He was always...
