Just visited and had the misfortune of taking Maria's class. I'm actually happy she was such an inept instructor because I'm a firm believer in the instructor's treatment of clients being representative of the studio's ethos. It was my very first time there and as soon as I walked in she didn't say a word to me. No greeting, nothing. The young man at the front mentioned that it was my first time as she was standing there and told me I could go in. I arrived 20 minutes prior to class precisely because it was my first time there. Any competent instructor would've asked me about any injuries, showed me how the machine works, told me what to expect, etc. Maria, however, didn't say a word to me upon entering class either. When the class started she jumped right into talking about what springs to use with her back turned to me. I actually had to interrupt class and remind her that it was my first time and that I needed help. She did the absolute bare minimum, continuing to ignore me when she saw I wasn't sure what to do, and not explaining what frog position looks like or pilates stance. For a place that charges almost $300 for a monthly membership it's absolutely ludicrous that this is the kind of staff they hire. Ofcourse, after class she continued to ignore me, not once asking how my experience was or simply telling me to have a good evening. Laughable, but again so grateful that I had this very informative experience. On to the next.... and most likely much better...
Read moreI went to this location with my daughter on a Sunday. Our instructor was Natalia: after being warmly greeted by the hostess Laura, I purchased my socks & waited to use the restroom Unaware of who the person was that was in the rest room before me, they spent quite some time in there which made me minutes late for the class
Now aware that it was the instructor herself, she rushed out of the restroom & basically started to comment that people need to hurry & the class was immediately starting. Natalia was not at all engaging, rushed through each segment & Became very rude when I needed to speak to my daughter to figure out what step we were at because Natalia was rushed! The entire experience felt like a Pilates bootcamp & once the class was over, Laura came back in & gave us an overview of pricing, etc. & when asked if every instructor gave this sale type of Pilates experience, Laura stated no & that Natalia has more of a bootcamp style which started a very uncomfortable discuss between the 2 of them in front of everyone & on that note it was...
Read moreThe first thing I noticed about this studio was it's cleanliness. It's evident that the staff (and clients) care about maintaining a safe environment for everyone to focus on and enjoy Pilates. Being not only a first timer but also an "out-of-towner", I had some questions about the different classes and membership options. I'm grateful that their general manager Alonzo was welcoming and available to answer my questions and explain how the studio works without making me feel pressured about committing to anything that I wasn't 100% comfortable with. I'm looking forward to this studio being my home away from home whenever I am...
