I wanted to love this place and have gone a few times, but after this last time I’ll not only never go back, but I’ll also write a 1-Star review of this place. First of all, the prices are a lie. They charge you for the service and then require a $15+ “tip” per hour to pay the wages of their employees. When I disagreed about being required to $35 tip on $90 of services the owner said “if you don’t tip that amount then they worked for nothing.” I asked why that was my problem and she couldn’t respond. They are illegally hiring employees and not paying them an hourly wage. They also refuse to accept a Venmo payment for professional services because it deducts a fee from the amount they receive- you know, for running a business off a payment platform. She has a sign up for Zelle but refuses to let customers use because she says she gets charged taxes for it. The owner is rude to customers and to employees. Not only does she get aggressive about her secret obligatory tip policy (which is on a sign that she puts under the counter and pulls it out any time someone disputes, like it’s their problem for not reading it) but she also shouts at employees and tells them to shut up and listen to her because “She’s the owner”. The atmosphere is not relaxing at all. The staff hangs out like they’re in their living room and talk and argue the entire time. Once I was here and three women brought in very drunk men who were smoking cigarettes and gutted them down the hall to the beds in the back. One guy took his shirt off as soon as he walked in the door. They were loud and boisterous- and who only knows what else was going on back there. The worst part of all, and the reason I decided to write this review is that the staff found it appropriate to make fun of my friend calling her an “ABC”. At first as a cultural reference once, I can understand, but this employee kept going on and on calling her “ABC” and complained to her coworker that “The ABC didn’t want extra treatments”. In summary: Rude. Inappropriate. Dishonest business practices. Unprofessional. Unsanitary.
Definitely not a business that I would recommend supporting if for no other reason that the owner is not paying her employees and expects you to take on that responsibility as a paying customer. I honestly hope this places gets shut down.
Funniest part is there is a sign by the door that says “$5 OFF for Google Reviews” … Dear Inconsiderate Business Owner, please give that $5 to one of your...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer of this establishment since they first opened their doors before the pandemic. The masseuses here have always been friendly and approachable. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of experiencing Sunny's exceptional skills. She recently arrived from China and although she is unlicensed in the US, she brings over 10 years of experience and was licensed in China.
Sunny's attention to detail was impressive, and I felt completely relaxed after my two-hour session. The fact that they offer such excellent service at only $40 per hour is truly remarkable. In fact, I was so delighted with the exceptional service that I left a $50 tip.
I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking an affordable and relational massage experience. While I've noticed some negative reviews regarding the services and tipping policy, I want to express my perspective on this matter. As an immigrant myself, I have witnessed the challenges faced by the immigrant community. It's important to consider that hard-working individuals like Sunny deserve better compensation for their services.
Many of these dedicated masseuses, like Sunny, make sacrifices by leaving their families behind in China to secure a better financial future in the US. They often face language barriers and may encounter difficulties in delivering services to the highest standard. Despite these challenges, a little extra compassion and understanding can go a long way in supporting our society.
Let's recognize the efforts of these hard-working immigrants and acknowledge the value they bring to our communities. By supporting them and providing fair compensation, we contribute to creating a more inclusive and supportive society...
Read moreJust had my "1 hour" foot massage done here. I've been a frequent customer of this place. It was pretty empty and staff were idling around. I sat for 5-10 minutes before they decided to let me soak my feet. Once they started working on my feet, they didn't use a timer (which they usually do) but I noted the start time and they finished in 50 minutes. I told them about it and everyone pretended not to understand any English. Even the guy collecting money. Then they forced me to pay $35 because of the "$10 tip" rule. First of all I always tip $10 but they rushed me out today. The manager that is usually there wasn't here today. Not sure if they have new management but I am not coming back.
Don't expect customers to honor your tipping policy when you don't honor your time commitment. I wasn't allowed to leave unless I paid...
