I’m a longtime Allsaints customer but will never return to this location. I had a shocking experience with a manager here, an older lady with brassy blonde hair who was mentioned in another review. Sounds like she’s been a menace here for quite some time! I’ll refer to her as Karen.
In another visit, I had tried to return unworn earrings that arrived damaged. The employee told me they don’t usually accept earring returns and I had to contact customer service to authorize it. So I went home and emailed customer service, who authorized the return without issue. I returned to the store a week later, where I encountered Karen.
As a small Asian woman, I get condescended to a lot, so I’ve developed a sixth sense for when it’s going to happen. As soon as I saw Karen clomping furiously towards me, I knew I was going to get bullied. Aggression radiated from her body in waves. Immediately, Karen barked that she’s heard of me and that I’d been “very rude”, which is simply untrue — I had a completely normal interaction with the previous kind employee. I told her I would never be rude to customer service because I worked retail for years; she must be thinking of someone else. Instead of apologizing for her mistake, she said "it's ok it happens" like I was the one apologizing??! tf???
Karen then snapped I was way past the return date, to which I replied I was within 28 days of package arrival, which is AllSaints’ return policy. Enraged, she demanded I show her the email from customer service, which I did. Without asking, she took my phone and scrolled through it for quite some time, which was annoying. She screeched, “Customer Service can’t tell me what to do!” but that she’d process the return for me because I found a side door through customer service (I don’t remember the exact words but the implication was I found a sneaky workaround or something). I was extremely confused and told her the previous employee was the one who told me to call customer service.
At some point Karen snarled, “Customers don’t know the policy but they push back because they think they do,” to which I replied AllSaints policy clearly states earrings can be returned if they were faulty, which mine were. She said something else nonsensical that I don’t remember because she had finally finished processing the return and I just wanted to leave.
I was extremely confused by how a simple return turned into a hostile ordeal. I’ve been shopping at Allsaints for years and never had issues with returns. I guess this is what happens when a Karen BECOMES...

You would think when you’re interested in purchasing a $500 jacket the sales associates would make a minimal effort to help you find your size. Instead when they couldn’t find my size in the store I had to ask them if another location had it, and the salesperson came back to report they “should” have it in midtown. I am on crutches and clearly not going to make a trip to the midtown store if I don’t know that they have the jacket. So I asked if they could call and check and the sales associate hesitated and said “I can try but sometimes they don’t answer the phone”. Then she came back and said their phone wasn’t working and did nothing else to help me. Another associate was also quite rude to me when I pointed out that they had put the wrong ribbon label on one of the jackets on the sales floor. I left so frustrated and in the end I won’t bother giving money to a company who doesn’t know how to train their sales floor team in basic retail...

My wardrobe is pretty much all Allsaints and wear it pretty much daily for both work and pleasure. I just tried to exchange a tshirt and they said they were not able to due to it been past the amount of days they allow. I told them the reason I wanted to return it was because it was a gift and I already have it in this color. I didn't want a different garment or money back but quite literally just the same product but in a color that I don't already have. As you can guess from this review it didn't happen and I had to walk away with a sour taste in my mouth.
I personally work in sales and if I was Allsaints would not be happy that this happened. Customer service is so important. This year alone I have bought two coat, a few t-shirts and a suit. With such little respect put into the customer satisfaction I now...
