I ordered their bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich while my date got me one of their coffees. I'm not sure the name of the coffee, but it reminded me of a really nice mocha. The sandwich was incredibly delightful. Not too crispy not too hot. It was just the comfort food I needed to start my day.
The staff were incredibly friendly and patient as I struggled to find the bathroom and they guided me where it was in the store. They were pretty informative about different coffees that they offered and were overall just friendly and cordial to the customers.
The space is beautiful as they have a convenience store on the inside next to the shop but on the outside there are patios where people can sit and chat. Me and my date got to enjoy breakfast while having his dog relax with us outside. It provided just the Zen I needed before hopping in to my busy work day and I recommend it for anyone who needs rest before they...
Read moreI've been here several times as well as ordered delivery from them. At most, their coffee is decent. The couple of times I've gotten food items from them, they never seem remotely fresh. Not expecting anything crazy from a cafÊ, but I am expecting at minimum it to not be stale, dry, gross, especially for the price. I recently ordered delivery and got a cold brew black tea/lemonade, a turkey gouda brioche sandwich, and spinach pie. The drink was completely inedible. Imagine drinking straight lemon concentrate, that's basically what it was, absolutely disgusting I had to throw it out. The sandwich looked, felt, and tasted old. The bread was hard and overall the sandwich had that plastic look to it like it was the display case food. The spinach pie was alright, but was also not fresh and in Astoria I'll gladly go anywhere else for one. Officially done with UP....
Read moreI recently visited Under Pressure coffee, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in town. The atmosphere is warm and invitingâperfect for a casual meet-up or a quiet place to work. Their coffee is rich and expertly brewed, whether you're into a classic espresso or a creamy latte.
What really stood out to me, though, were the pastries. Freshly baked and beautifully presented, each one was a treat. I tried the croissant and a bougatsa(cream pie)âboth were flaky, flavorful, and just sweet enough. You can tell they take pride in using quality ingredients.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to make recommendations and chat about the day's specials. Itâs the kind of place that makes you want to come back, not just for the coffee and pastries, but for the experience as a...
