I started pilates about a month and a half ago with Marina being my first instructor. I also did the 7 days Camp Pilates camp, giving me the opportunity to meet most if the instructors in the Nomad location. Heres an overview of what I thought of each instructor I had a class with.
Marina: The owner and one of the tougher teachers to work with. Not as in she's difficult but she makes us do more advanced workouts, she's incouraging and her classes are known as Pilates social because everyone speaks to each other as we workout. She's a great vibe and very helpful.
Lynsey: New to the company but not new to teaching. (Her first words to us in her session) She was bright and kind, gave clear instructions and is a hands on teacher. If you needed her to fix your form she will come and help with a smile.
Jennifer R: Jennifer was kind, welcoming and had my whole body sore the next day. I sweat the most in her class and felt like I was able to keep up better with her pace. She had a killer playlist and would teach us some "old school" moves.
Allison R: Allison was kind and started our meeting with a conversation about my journey for the 7 day camp Pilates. She was very helpful when it came to giving us different levels of difficulty and I found myself laughing through the pain. She was very funny and who I believe I have the best connection with.
Tyler: Tyler was kind and welcoming. The class was known as a classical class and im not sure what that meant, but we did a LOT of abs. Im not a fan of working abdominals but Tyler was very helpful with form and would come up to explain something in detail if there was some struggle.
Naima: Naina had high energy and woukd walk through the class demonstrating what we had to do, while on the floor. She was motivating and made it a heavy glute day. Its was hard but definitely someone I would go to again.
Mackenzie: Makenzie was kind and worked us hard. We did a lot if different exercises and her class was full! She was helpful and communicated well when it came to positioning and movement between exercises.
Overall I really enjoy coming to this location/company, every instructor is different and have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have come here three time and always enjoyed my class with Liz. Unfortunately my experience with Marina this morning was just awful. Throughout the whole class she did not gave clear introductions neither demonstrations and with low voice plus gum in her mouth. She would also chatted with others( who were at the class and one attempted the next class earlier and the instructor who were teaching private class on the other side). She constantly checked her phone and scrolled her watch sip from her mug after uncleared cues instead of making sure everyone heard and understood what she was saying. I also donāt appreciate that she walked around with her flip flops. The class was also ended 5 mins earlier. Confused, and very distracted class that I have never experienced before. I will still come back here but only when I can catch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEver since discovering BK Pilates, Iāve been in awe of the amazing instructors Iāve had the pleasure of taking classes with. But I have to give a special shoutout to Lizāsheās an absolute pro! She pays close attention to her students, ensuring our form is on point while keeping the energy high with her killer playlist.
Lizās class has an incredible rhythm, and she has a knack for correcting posture in a way thatās both helpful and encouraging. She constantly reminds us what not to do, which is super useful since our bodies naturally try to take shortcuts sometimes. š Her energy, expertise, and motivation make every class both fun and effective. If you get the chance, I highly recommend...
