I went to bling nails for a manicure a couple weeks ago with a friend and found the experience to be really great. Grace did a chrome gel manicure on me and it has been my favorite nail choice since moving to New York. Because that experience was so delightful, i decided to go back even though tribeca is not in my typical route. My manicurist this time was not as skilled as grace, and it makes me sad to have to finish this review. The trouble began in cleaning up my nails- this girl cut my cuticles down so far i am bleeding on my both of my ring fingers and thumbs. The gel coat that sits under the chrome took 1 hour. I am a patient person and get my nails done a lot so i was not worried about it taking a long time. I understand its an art form! In applying the chrome she got it all over my hands, and all around my nail beds. Again, I get my nails done a lot, so i didn't think anything of it- as it usually gets cleaned up towards the end. She was not able to clean the sides of my fingers or the chrome off my hands because she would not change her gloves. She kept on apologizing and rushing but she was not helping the spread of chrome polish. it was getting all over. When her manager (i think) intervened I was told to go wash my hands and then another nail tech cleaned up the sides of my nails. When i told her i would like the sides touched up because they were unfinished she told me to come back tomorrow. I am still able to see the white gel undercoat. Unfortunately i am leaving town tomorrow and am unable to come back. i felt really sad that my nails looked bad, feel horrible about the whole experiende. My nails look unfinished. My cuticles hurt and are crusty from bleeding. My hands did not get moisturized nor did i get the massage that comes with gel manicures. Something i was really excited to do turned out to be a really disappointing and painful time. even with the $15 discount they provided i feel like i was still taken advantage of. I understand bad days happen and would not judge this place entirely off my experience- but am hoping to get the attn of someone to see if there is anything that can be done to...
Read moreSo i actually wanted to like this place but the way they handled this situation is why they lost me as a customer, i paid 130 for nails and less than a week one cracks off, then i didn’t have time to call or go to get the one fixed due to me being sick personal reasons and the rest of the nails start to crack off, so 2 weeks pass and i called and spoke to someone to see if they could fix it because i paid so much and i wasnt doing anything for them to break in that fashion, the tech did a bad job, and when i called the person treated me as if I’m a liar and told me they couldn’t do anything for me, and i said no problem i will share my story and never give you my business so cheers, work on your customer service as a business to retain high paying customers. Your tech did a bad job nails literally cracked and fell off in less than 2 weeks. Below an unprofessional response if you knew your business enough before trying to actually lie, i moved across the bridge and also got a gel pedicure which totaled with a pressured tip 135 cash try again and was not told i could come back was told it was too late why would i leave this review if i was told that ??? Jesus now i really regret stepping...
Read moreOverall fine experience. But I left the nail salon feeling like I spent way too much money for what was actually done. I paid for a gel manicure with nail extensions and the “chrome” effect on top. Usually when you get a manicure done, you get your nails soaked in water and they take their time cleaning up your nail beds first. Here they didn’t even soak my nails, they went right for the nail drill at my extremely dry cuticles and then got into painting right away after. I regretfully didn’t speak up and ask why they’re doing it that way. I don’t know if they were rushing or what, but it didn’t feel right at all. When she began painting my nails, I could literally see nail space in between the paint and my cuticle. So when the whole thing was over, my nails looked like they were already over a week old! I think everyone here very nice and they obviously do a good job overall. But I felt like I had to leave this review and be honest about my experience. My gel manicure is only 2 weeks old right now and it looks like it’s over a month old.. it’s extremely frustrating because I spent $100 after tip. That’s a lot of money for not a...
