you know, I’ve been really struggling to decide how to review here, because there was a huge gap between product quality (which is amazing) and the quality of the staff member that helped me (not so great) that I’m not entirely sure how to address. basically, I specifically made a point of coming here while I was visiting relatives in the city, as I’d read wonderful product reviews, specifically regarding quality, reasonably priced (for brand makeup, of course) makeup for sensitive skin. and in terms of products, I absolutely wasn’t disappointed! for around $90 I got a primer that works wonders, and a foundation better than any I’ve ever had. so mission accomplished, right? except that when I came in, at first one employee regarded me suspiciously as I was looking at various products before finally asking for help- and the thing is, I get is, I’m very unusual looking, so that alone didn’t truly bother me. but when I finally did ask her opinion on what product would best fit my needs, my service dog sat near her feet and sniffed the air, and she began making passive aggressive commentary about how my service dog was horribly behaved, implying that he was not a real service dog and I was faking my disability. I laughed it off, because I didn’t know what else to do, but my fiancĆ© was so offput that he tried to address it later, and the employee refused to comment, and regarded him disdainfully. I know my disability isn’t visible unless I’m having a medical alert, and I know I’m unusual looking, but really? the employee who I’d spoken to then said she’d set aside behind the counter the products I’d decided on while I finished looking at lipsticks, and when I came to check out, she was curt, distractible, and rude-hardly even acknowledged me. luckily one of the other employees, a kind young woman with dark skin and curly hair, who was clearly uncomfortable with the firsts’ attitude, was able to finish ringing me out. All in all, I’ll certainly be back, because the quality of the products and the reasonable prices for such quality is well worth it, but most likely at a different location, because that kind of judgement was really inappropriate. certainly I’d understand if my service dog has bit someone or barked or something, but to sit quietly at my feet and sniff in the direction of her foot? I’m sorry you don’t like dogs, or maybe don’t like poor-looking weird people, but that’s not an appropriate comment to make to a...

Purchased $300 worth of products this morning from another Bluemercury location. Found the same products directly from the seller for $75 less. Went into this location to return with Carlo and was refused the return. On the receipt it clearly states that return can be made at any location within 90 days. I asked to speak with a manager and was given tons of attitude. I decided then to call the 1800 number to get assistance and they confirmed the return could be made at any location. After I called he then agreed to the return. This is why more consumers are going online to shop vs in person because the customer service...

I stopped in here to check out their Chantecaille selection. It was great to see that they had everything I wanted since in the past, they had been out of stock of a lot of the items I wanted. I was really happy to see how much the customer service has improved in this store. I've been shopping this location the past four years, and it was great to finally see the staff welcome their customers and be excited to offer assistance. It looks like Bluemercury has finally stepped up their...
