AVOID this location - especially if it's the male associate that I had the unpleasant experience with. I had the very unfortunate experience at this location. It was a quiet Friday evening and not a customer in sight. I was with a friend who has never been into a Le Labo location and I wanted to see what the "new scent" decal was all bout. Upon entering, the only associate there looked very familiar and thought he was the store manager of their Williamsburg location. When I mistaken him for said manager, he responded with a less than thrilled and almost offended that I would mix him up with such a person. Once the awkwardness rolled off, I asked what the "new scent" decal was all about and he immediately responded with a dismissive response that "it's a new city exclusive scent and no, we do not even have it". Thinking there would be more to his answer, I then had to ask what was the new scent again and he said something along the lines of "berlin...seed....". Thinking he would then explain the notes, he did no such thing nor was I going to even ask. My friend then said, I have never been to a Le Labo store and thinking that would be a great queue for the associate to introduce the brand to my friend, he did no such thing again. You'd think he would have gone through some type of selling 101. I work in retail operations myself and I would be horrified to see what I saw. Le Labo, if you need any referrals for someone who can get this shop into shape, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe male staff that was working at the location this afternoon must be working for the "Sales PREVENTION Team".
Many people love the Le Labo products not only because of their amazing fragrances but also because of the custom labeling. I was interested in purchasing a Le Labo perfume for my friend's birthday (which passed five days ago). When asked if they could update the date on the label to reflect the date, the male associate said "you can if it's 1-2 days but not if it's more than that". I confirmed this was not the policy with another Le Labo location in NYC. When I told him about hearing different policy from another location, he was very dismissive and said "oh well then they're going to get in trouble for not following the rules".. So you can change the date if it's 1-2 days ago but not 5? It's literally 3 days apart!
Set an exact number of days as the store policy and don't give me the BS response. Because of this distasteful staff and experience, I will never be recommending Le Labo to anyone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this store around 4 p.m. to look for a gift. I was initially assisted by a blond guy who answered my questions in an indifferent and rude manner, which immediately made me feel uncomfortable. After that, a girl helped me, but she only showed me the scent of two shampoos without engaging much or being kind enough to explain more about the products. Her responses were very limited and carried a strong elitist attitude. Honestly, they made me feel like I was in the wrong place and that my money didnāt have the same value as that of other customers.
I ended up buying what I was looking for, but they told me they couldnāt give me a gift receipt because it was a final sale. Even after I paid, I wasnāt given a receipt for my purchase.
The staff at this particular store seriously lacks customer service skills and basic courtesy.
I do recommend the products, but I would definitely prefer to visit another branch of the brand rather than go through another unpleasant experience...
