Shirts: good. Made to measure suits⌠BAD I always buy shirts at Brooks Brothers. I like them, i buy them online, itâs easy. I decided to get a made to measure suit. I am not sure how to convey how bad it is. I should be able to deduct it as a charitable contribution. This was measured in store. First time they tried i could not move my arms (unbuttoned). I could not button my jacket without holding my breath (how can you get that wrong?). Most importantly they insisted that being able raise my arms or even put my arms on a desk when seated was not a requirement. They kept on saying âyou are not superman, keep your arms downâ. They eventually did another iteration. Somehow the sleeves were now 2 inches shorter (seriously?!?). Like i was wearing a jacket from when i was 15. The jacket button was now attached so close to the edge that almost half of it was out. The arms were a little better (i could raise them a little). The back of the jacket had an odd looking slack to it. So we went again, and again. Eventually I gave up. I will never wear that jacket. I cannot seat and use a keyboard, i cannot take a subway (all of this, obviously, unbuttoned). I can just stand, arms down, without buttoning it. And i wasted 3 measuring sessions of my time (and, yes over $1000). I hope this saves some of you from...
Read moreTHEY STOLE MY MONEY--IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS. One of my last resorts is posting these reviews so that they will give me my money back. I would give zero stars if I could. I purchased about $1000 worth of merchandise during the semi-annual sale. First, Brooks Brothers and FedEx lost my package and it took two weeks to get the clothing to me. After the pieces finally arrived, unfortunately I found that none of them fit properly. I promptly returned all of the items to this store, thinking that I would be refunded easily--this is what I would expect from most reputable retail stores, especially such a reportedly luxury and premium store such as Brooks Brothers. Boy, was I wrong. I returned the items in July, and it is now almost the end of September. I was only refunded a few hundred dollars, and am still out about $600--Meanwhile, I did not even keep ANY of the clothes! I am infuriated and frustrated--who knows how much money I have lost just in the time wasted on the phone with them alone? I am still working to get my money back, but will not be shopping at this store or Brooks Brothers EVER again. This is truly...
Read moreI recently visited the Brooks Brothers store on Madison Avenue and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The store itself looked messy, and assistance of any kind was non-existent. It genuinely felt more like shopping at Zara than at a heritage brand like Brooks Brothers.
Several sales associates didnât greet me, and the security guard at the door didnât acknowledge me eitherâeven though I passed by him twice. Instead of engaging with customers, the staff were gathered at the till, openly discussing their vacation plans in Jamaica. One sales associate even walked by, yawned, and didnât say welcome.
The employee who eventually helped me was dressed in Leviâs denim and an oversized sweater, which hardly represented the Brooks Brothers brand. On top of that, they forgot to check for my size in the shirts, leaving the interaction incomplete and unhelpful.
Overall, the lack of professionalism, attention, and brand representation made this visit an unpleasant one. This is far below the standard expected from a company with Brooks...
