Lupo Rosso — Restaurant in New York

Ordered a pizza and 6-piece buffalo wings. The pizza was ok, tasted a bit dry for my liking and did not have enough sauce. The wings came with both ranch and blue cheese which I appreciated, however the wings tasted off and undercooked. You kind of just know when something isn't right with the food. Just a few hours later my friends are vomiting after also complaining about the wings. I threw out the remaining pieces. On the upside, service was prompt, no issues there however I won't be coming back here.

I want to share this experience as a warning to others. After eating here, our group became severely ill. When I left an honest review, the pizzeria responded by claiming there were no records of my visit—despite the fact that I ordered there last weekend. It’s hard to understand why they would make such a false claim, but it seems like an attempt to avoid accountability. Here's a picture of the order that made us sick. Let’s start quick. Pizza was great Decided to give this place a try and drive out of my way from a guy I follow on TikTok who always promotes this place. Not sure if he works there or what the affiliation is but he talked about a honey pepper pizza being his favorite and I can echo that statement. The pizza was very flavorful, spicy, and just enough sauce. I’ll be back when I’m in the area. I realized they have other options too from the social media like pasta and appetizers. I was by myself that day and didn’t want to overeat, but good to know for next time. Only annoying thing was I had to eat inside my car. Lupo Rosso is the best dedicated pizza place in LIC imo. The crust is perfect, the ingredients are high quality, and they have some very interesting topping combos like the clam pizza. They also make good, non-basic salads. I’ve been a customer of LR for a while now and they’ve always been consistent with their quality.

I had an event recently where I needed a lot of pizza, and I considered other places that maybe would have been more economical (LR only makes 12” pizzas), but I knew I would get great pizza with LR and that was more important ☺️ they even threw in some extra pizzas and helped me troubleshoot when there was a slight snafu with the delivery. The pizza was a hit at the party and I had multiple guests tell me LR is now on their radar.
